“You ready for this? We don’t know for a fact he’s there, but we know it’s his place,” Gunner tells me. I nod my head and crack my knuckles as Gunner goes over the plan. It isn’t much different than what we did at his cousin’s house. Only there’s a no-kill order since that kill is going to be mine.

Once we’re settled and have our weapons ready, we climb onto our bikes and get ready to take this motherfucker down.

Chapter 26

Remy

Anticipation is a bitch. It can cloud your judgment and warp your mind if you let it. I’m not letting it, even though the thought of getting my hands on that piece of shit is the only thing I can think about. I want him dead. I want him to suffer the way she did. I want him to understand the pain she felt. And it’ll all be by my hand.

We park down the block just like always, and my hands are itching to grab my gun, but that’s not how this plays out for Brad. No. He has a long road to death, and I plan on dragging out every last second of it.

“Ready?” Gunner asks me. I roll my shoulders as I nod my head. I’ve been ready since I found out what that bastard did to her.

He nods his head as we turn and jog down the street. A woman stands in her doorway and Gunner raises his finger to his lips before she quickly makes her way back inside, closing her door.

We keep going until he points at the house. Some of the guys go around back while we go to the front. Gunner kicks the door in, and we rush inside. It’s a nice place. Something I could see Tianna living in.

We make our way through the living room, and that’s when I come to a dead stop. Right there on the table next to the couch is a photo of her. My Tianna. She’s smiling, although the smile doesn’t meet her eyes. This is where she lived. This was her house.

“You good?” Gunner whispers as I nod to the picture. “Fuck,” he grumbles under his breath. I shake the picture out of my head as we continue to move through the house. We head up the stairs when we hear something. I raise my hand to stop the guys, and that’s when you can hear it better. Moaning. Is he fucking someone? We share a glance before we move. I burst into the first door, and there he is, naked with his cock in some girl. He looks up, his eyes locking with mine as he quickly pulls out of her and moves off the bed.

“You move on quickly, yeah?” I ask him. The girl screams, but I shake my head at her, shutting her up just as fast.

“What do you want?”

“You know exactly what I’m here for,” I tell him.

“She’s gone. You made sure of that!”

“Yeah, you’re right. She said her safe word. Do you know why she had a safe word?” I ask as I move toward him slowly. He takes a few steps back before hitting the wall with nowhere else to go.

“You’re crazy,” he says. Now I chuckle.

“She had a safe word because she was afraid of being hurt. She didn’t want to go too far.”

“She seemed to like what I did to her,” he snarls at me.

“You drugged her. You made her think she liked what you did to her, but she hated it. She fuckin’ hated everything you did to her!” I roar this time. Brad doesn’t know what to say as the others stand by and watch what’s happening. Locke has taken the girl out of the room, so there’s no one else here but us.

“So you’re going to kill me? Just do it, then. Shoot me,” he taunts me. I smirk.

“She tried to kill herself. Hell, she may have done it for all I know, and you know what? I get it. After I saw what you did to her, I fuckin’ understand her not wantin’ to be on this earth.”

“You want an apology?”

“No,” I shake my head. “I want revenge for her and my daughter. My little girl probably has to grow up without her mom now because of what you did to her. And for that? I’m gonna make you pay. I’m gonna make sure you feel everything she felt until I decide to end your life.” His eyes widen when I motion for the guys to move in. I know that if I touch him right now, I’ll snap his fucking neck, and then all of this would have been for nothing. Hodge and Gunner easily subdue his ass and tie his hands behind his back.

“Grab him some pants,” Gunner says. I walk to the closet, and then I see it. Her clothes. Her stuff. I run my fingers over the clothes before I grab the pants off a hanger and walk back out.

“Here,” I say, tossing them to Hodge. He grabs them and helps the asshole put them on before he tries to fight. He tries to jerk away from them, but Gunner just laughs.

“You think you’re goin’ anywhere?” he asks him.

“I have money. I can pay,” he says.

“No one needs your money. I want your life,” I tell him. He eyes me when Locke comes back in and walks toward him, stuffing a rag in his mouth.

“Vans out front,” he says. I nod my head as Gunner and Hodge drag the asshole out of the room and down the steps. We don’tbother sitting around, just head straight for the van. I watch as Hodge tosses his ass like a ragdoll into the back before slamming the door closed. That gets a chuckle out of me.
