The raw, unadulterated heat burned between the two of us, and I fought against every breath as I weighed up this moment until I couldn’t hold back any longer, knowing that Simone had succumbed to my words. I was not going to just walk out of this room without knowing what her addictive taste on my tongue was like again.
Without giving her any other opportunity to deny me, I crashed my lips against hers, holding her against the wall as my fingers skimmed down her body and teased around the edge of her skirt.
“Shall I blow your mind?” I winked at her as she threw her head back and chuckled, keeping her arms and hands exactly where I’d originally placed them. “The perfect way to pass some time together?”
“I say less talking, more action, Mr Hotshot Rockstar. Prove to me that what you said wasn’t all words.” Simone uttered back at me, tilting her head to the side to enhance that beautiful neckline she knew I loved so much. “Or are you just all talk to get into a ladies’ knickers?”
“You’re not just any lady, Simone. You’re my woman.” I snarled back at her, dropping lower, inching her skirt up as I reached for the thin black lace of her underwear. With one wink and pull at her thong, it was in one piece, and in my hands with a cocky smirk radiating across my face as I brought them to my nose and sniffed them before placing them in my pocket. “There for later, now shall I show you how good it feels to have a real man?”
THREE
Simone
My body thrummed with desire as he fucked me hard and fast with precision like a guy on a mission, his hand wandering to that sweet spot, circling my clit until he pinched me and made me want to scream with ecstasy.
I bit down harshly on his shoulder as I came hard and fast just as a knock on the door disturbed us, and the two of us instantly turned to face each other as we tried to calm our nerves and get our breathing under control.
“The coast is clear, you two,” Boden announced with a subtle amusement in his voice. The fucker knew exactly what we were up to, but at least he wasn’t outing us to everybody. He had some damn discretion; I’d give him that. “I wouldn’t take too long as everyone’s already gathering together.”
“One minute,” Brody uttered smoothly as he pulled himself out and began to straighten himself up. “Right there.”
I glanced at him in utter shock and tried to steady my nerves.
Fuck! Why did I have to do that? I’ve only gone and screwed everything up.

Six weeks flew by, and all I had done was throw myself into my career. The animosity between Brody and I had been long gone since we’d cleared the air, even though in my heart, the guilt that existed for dipping my toe back on that treacherous path was excruciating. I won’t lie, I’d been tempted to tease and seduce that man too many times, especially after he’d come off that stage after a show looking like a hot mess and pure sex.
The truth was I’d been running all this time from the guy who still held onto my heart, and it didn’t matter how many times I said I hated him. I was still drawn to the unruly rockstar god.
I could have easily shown him a wild time and made it so he was as mesmerized in me as I was in him. I didn’t, though. I had some restraint still within me, even though every glance at me was like a pinch to my clit. I don’t know how he’d even managed it, though he’d unlocked those thoughts and emotions that I’d first felt all those years ago. It had been strange, though, around here of late as Holden had been secretive, constantly sneaking off as soon as the show finished and getting one of the guys to cover for his whereabouts if Amelia asked for him. If I wasn’t wrong, there was a woman involved and someone that she definitely wouldn’t approve of with the way she wanted his image or the group as a whole portrayed.
The thing was, we all knew secrets didn’t remain hidden for long. They’d come out and bite you on the ass if you weren’t careful. It’s always better to just rip the band-aid off and get it over with. It may cause some rumbles and disconcerting for some people, but honestly, was always the best policy, right?
I shuddered as I thought of those words about Brody when, in reality, I should be berating myself and inflicting them in my own direction.
I gulped harshly at that remainder and swallowed the sudden urge of sickness that had repeated on me after the sip of orange juice. It would betypical that one of my favorite drinks wouldnow be out of the window, just my luck. I just hoped that no one noticed…I dropped my gaze and took in a few deep breaths, knowing that I wasn’t a hypocrite and needed to get this off my chest, but I couldn’t talk to Brody yet. It may be different between us, but this…
This would change everything—my future, his future and the band.
“Everything alright?” Amelia asked, knocking me out of my daydream-like state as I stared at the wall and concentrated on my breathing, noting the area was now much calmer and quieter than previously. “You seem like you’re lost in a world of your own. JB and Brody both shouted your names in passing and you didn’t even acknowledge them.” She examined me as I just blinked and tried to focus instantly feeling myself go unsteady and my legs go weak from underneath me.
The room went blank and the loud shouting I had heard previously, suddenly became faded and distorted as I lost consciousness.
I don’t know how long I was out cold. I slowly opened my eyes, gathering my whereabouts and noticed the cool washcloth that had been placed on my forehead. I reached up and groaned slightly just as I noticed Amelia and Boden talking away together, whispering in the corner, trying to be as quiet as possible.
“I was thinking if we should go and get Brody. I mean, he’d want to know…” Amelia says anxiously, the low sounds just managing to hit my ears as I caught the words from her. “You’ve seen how close they have been getting, and that hate is long gone between the two of them...”
“I agree, but what if…” Boden began before I tried to sit up off the sofa I’d been placed on at the back of the green room and instantly became overwhelmed by the situation.
It made me wonder where everyone else was!! Normally, they’d all be in here. Had everyone in the place seen me collapse? What about the baby? Had I hurt my little bean?
The tears suddenly began to fall down my cheeks and my sobbed roar, and I couldn’t do anything to stop myself from the fear that had invoked within me. I instantly made the two of them turn to face me, and Amelia nodded to excuse Boden.
“I’ll go and find Brody and let him know.” He began before walking toward the door. “I’ll leave you to talk. Just call me if you need anything?”
“Don’t get Brody yet…” I blurted out to him. “Boden, I know he’ll find out soon what happened. I just… It’s complicated, and I can’t do this yet.”
