Clover had found me trying to bend into the different poses funny. Her mood improved as the class went on. I had appreciated how good her ass looked in the black yoga pants she had chosen to wear. Standing behind her had been a great motivation for this class. Getting to see just how flexible our Omega was and getting to envision how I could put her in all sorts of fun positions.
“That was so amazing!” Her arms wrap around me, pulling me down to kiss her as the class ends.
Worth it.
All the embarrassment from taking that class was worth it.
Her arms stay around me as I pick her up, letting her spider monkey cling to me as she keeps peppering my lips with these small kisses. Her giggles in between making this feel even more intimate between us.
Goddess, I love how affectionate she is.
I had checked my phone when class ended.
Apollo had texted in the guys chat about Marcus. Apparently Pack Weaver had been using him to try and lure Clover to join their pack. They wanted to bond them both, but wouldn’t take one without the other. When Bryce and Orion had found out about him not getting responses from her they had gotten violent with him.
Marcus waited until they fell asleep before fleeing the apartment that they had gotten in town. Their Beta, Jennifer, had followed him and finally had to give up the foot pursuit once Marcus cut through campus. The men in the pack had gotten into the SUV and had closed in on him when he was rushing towards our house. Suspecting that he would go to Clover since she was protected by us. He had shown up at our house because it was the only place he knew that Pack Weaver was not welcome. Powerful packs could get away with a lot in places, but we didn’t subscribe to that bullshit.
There was currently police and Apollo’s family at our place, dealing with the mess.
I felt bad for him, but I was glad that I wasn’t home. It seemed like the police were at our place a lot lately and it would be good to not be there for questioning. Clover deserved a break from that stress as well.
“Baby weed, why don’t we get something to eat?”
“I want you to knot me.”
Not what I expected to come out of her mouth.
I told myself that I had to say no to her. That we couldn’t do this in public and that the house was not the place to be right now. My mind still whirled at the idea of getting to knot her. Wondering if I could sneak back and somehow take the car so I could drive our Omega somewhere.
“Marcus is still at the house. Pack Weaver did a number on him. The police are there collecting statements and Apollo’s family are making calls to try and get him somewhere safe. They’re also working on trying to find Pack Weaver because they seemed to slip through the authorities’ hands yet again.” She groans at that and I hug her tighter to my body.
I want to let her know she’s safe. I can’t imagine having someone try to force a bond with me. Having my whole life taken away and then the pack showing up and trying to take me over and over again.
My Omega’s been through a lot.
“We should go and check on Marcus.” She wiggles to be let down and I set her down on her feet. Our fingers lace together, “I was jealous earlier. Everyone went to him and didn’t seem to care about me. I know it’s dumb and selfish. He needed them. I just thought that after what happened last night everyone would want to be around me too.” She admits to this and I can’t help but think how brave she is being with her honesty.
Poor girl hasn’t ever been put first and feels bad she wanted to be put first with our pack.
“It’s not selfish. Our bond grew deeper last night. You didn’t expect to wake up to so much drama. Just knots.” She throws her head back, laughing at this and I smile at being the one to have done that.
Glad that I diffused the situation, I lead her back home to all the trouble that waited there.
CHAPTER 41
CLOVER
Griffin sneaks us in the back door of the old Victorian pack house. We had talked on the short walk home and decided it would be nice to shower after our workout before meeting up with everyone and seeing what was going on.
I enjoyed the barre class this morning. It had been fun with Griffin making comments and groaning through it. It had also stretched out some of the soreness still in my body from last night. Working out had let me gather my thoughts and get out of my own head a little too.
Griffin had suggested coming back a few days a week and doing classes. He couldn’t do all of them with me, but it would be a good thing to get me out of the house. Since it was a short walk away I felt safe enough doing it too. It made me feel like I was starting to build my life here and my independence.
“We shouldn’t shower together. I have zero control when it comes to you, baby weed. If I go into that shower we’re going to end up never coming downstairs.” His lips kiss mine and I want to tell him to stay, but knew we would have to deal with everything going on.
The sooner we dealt with it all, the sooner we could go back to getting closer together.
I shower quickly, my heart hammering in my chest as I change into a pair of jeans and a hoodie Apollo had given me with the Otter’s symbol on the front. Even though it wasn’t his clothing it still felt nice to wear one of the gifts my Alpha gave me.
