When they see her yawn, they’re whisking her up. Short goodbyes and promises of them being back tomorrow are given before they leave.
McKinley walks them out as I stretch out with a yawn.
I didn’t realize I was so tired. Today has been a busy day between going to the nest store, building my nest, and visiting with Apollo’s family.
All I want is to be buried in something warm.
Warm blankets. Warm clothes. Warm bodies.
“Want me to walk you up to bed? I’m getting tuckered too.” I look at Apollo, the way he is stretching his long body. His shirt rising up to show off the V of his hips. There is a soft splattering of hair on his stomach, seeming to go darker as it vanishes into his sweatpants.
My mind is fuzzy as I stare at him.
“You want to share my bed tonight?” I ask.
He freezes, eyes dropping to look at me. The quiet in the room makes me worried that I spoke out of turn.
Do they think that I’m being too forward? That I’m trying to do something wrong? Do they think I’m trying to pull Apollo away?
“All of you can come and sleep with me. In my bed. It should be big enough for all of us. My nest is nice too. I mean, I think it is. It’s softer than my bed but, I don’t think I’d wake up for school if I sleep in my nest. But you don’t have to sleep ... .I mean you do have to sleep but, you don’t have to sleep with me…in my bed…any of you.” The babbling comes from my lips without me being able to stop it.
Cheese and crackers.
Why can’t I stop myself from speaking?
“Do you want us to sleep with you? A big puppy pile for you, baby weed?” Griffin is all smiles as he slides off the couch.
His dirty blonde hair falls into his face and with a soft blow of breath it flutters away. On his hands and knees, he comes closer to me until his nose hits my shins.
He rubs himself, like a cat, against me before sitting on his haunches, and rests his head on my lap. His brown eyes are so mischievous as he looks up at me, an easy smile on those blush lips of his.
“Griffin, don’t make her uncomfortable.” Vaughn warns him but, I’m already letting my hand run through his hair. My fingers pushing it away from his face as I look down at him.
An Alpha is already dangerous for an Omega. The attraction for us is just instincts, for the most part. Add in a good scent, like all the members of this pack have, and their good looks. How is an Omega supposed to handle that?
A soft purr like sound comes from Griffin, as his eyes close, and his arms hug around my thighs. He seems so soft and content right now. I want him to stay like this. Stay this happy and easily pleased.
My body is relaxed.
That is until I think about how I was writhing in my nest earlier. Imagining the way that Apollo’s kisses would feel on my neck. Or how Griffin’s hand would feel under my clothes. How McKinley would be there, saying nice things to me. Vaughn was the one I pictured between my legs. His mouth was the toy, sucking on me as he called me-
“Cherry girl, if we’re going to be in your bed with you tonight, you need to come up with some rules. ‘Cause right now you smell like sweet syrup that is driving us all a bit crazy.” Vaughn’s voice seems deeper and it gets right under my skin.
My hand tightens in Griffin’s hair. A groan leaving his lips as my nails scratch at his scalp.
What do I want?
“I want McKinley. I want him next to me.” As if summoned, the Beta appears in the doorway. His dark eyes scanning the room. He’s taking in the scene before him.
He must have heard what I was saying because he climbs next to me, wrapping an arm around me. Griffin buries himself deeper into my lap.
Champagne and spices surround me.
“I just want all of you around me. It makes me feel safe.”
“You need to set boundaries for us, cherub.” Apollo comes closer, kneeling down beside Griffin. “Are we okay to hold you?” I nod my head, “Words. We need your words.”
“Holding is good. That sounds nice.” Mick snuggles in as I speak, Apollo rewards me with a smile.
