She’s perfect.
“We can’t let her leave.” The words leave my mouth, eyes looking between my friends.
I’ve survived so much with them. War and death. Life is constantly coming for us and they’ve always been there and enough to ground me.
But now there is Sadie. And nothing will be alright if we don’t have her.
Jace looks at Pax, who is leaning back on the couch, a hand covering his forehead as he sips the bourbon that he spends too much money on. Letting out a deep breath, his sigh feels heavy as he nods his head.
Pax is always ready to make decisions.
“Sadie needs to know she’s ours. I don’t know what that looks like. I don’t know what she wants from being ours but I can tell you how I feel. How I want to take care of her. Have her here in the house where she belongs.” He sighs out, fingers running over his blonde hair as he looks towards Jace like he is going to have the answers to this.
Jace is the one who seems to be the best with omegas. He understands their softness like we don’t. He is the one that will domost of the research so we can be the best alphas for Sadie. Not that we won’t look up more about omegas. Jace just likes to know everything so he can plan for it all.
He just looks back at us because none of us know what to do.
After seeing her get so upset today, I know we all want to work on things with her, figure out what happened to make our girl freak out like that. But I understand emotions like that. When I first discharged from the Army there were lots of moments like that for me.
Getting lost in games and building security programs was a way to cope.
Pax made me go to the gym, thinking I locked myself away too long and needed to be outside or around other people. Working out so that I could move my body.
Anthony would cook meals for us, things with vegetables and fresh meat instead of energy drinks and protein powder shakes that were keeping us alive.
Jace stepped in to bring order to the house, making doctors appointments when we forgot and running things smoothly so we would all thrive instead of just surviving.
Then we just all were in business together.
Our lives had been tied together when we served and after we all left we needed each other to survive. So we had packed up.
Just like how we now needed Sadie to complete us. An omega to balance our alphas
“We should just talk to her. Ask her out on more dates.” Ant shrugs like it isn’t this huge decision. “We should also file paperwork so it’s official courting. I think she would feel better knowing we are taking that extra step. Something to ease her anxiety.”
Ant hasn’t dated seriously in years. He was a barracks bro and he spent most of his time at bars and in the back of cars with girls he all called honey because he forgot their names.
Him settling down with Sadie is almost as big as Jace.
Jace who was married to his high school sweetheart for a decade. A beta who hated the idea of pack life. Until we did a tour and he came back for his two weeks of RR to find her three months pregnant with another beta’s child.
We had been gone for five months at that point and had another four to go. Jace had moved all his stuff to a storage facility, filed for divorce and got on a plane back to us at that time.
After that Jace swore off dating.
We all had trauma and now want to date Sadie who is obviously battling her own demons.
“I think we should just be honest. That’s what Sadie needs. Honesty.” It’s simple but we all nod in agreement.
Heading upstairs an hour later, after we talked about where to go and plans for the upcoming week, I’m stunned by the sight of Sadie in my bed. Even though I left her there it’s still everything.
Her fingers are in her mouth, suckling them in her sleep. The blankets that had been tucked around her kicked away so I can see the white cotton thong she’s wearing. A clear wet spot on display as she rubs her thighs together, sweet mewls of pleasure coming out as she dreams.
That rich peach scent slams into my face and I’m groaning as I breathe her in.
Baby brat is having a wet dream.
Shutting the door with a snick of the lock I’m pulling off my hoodie. I start moving closer to the bed just as she slides her wet fingers from her lips, drool clinging to them as she pushes them down, rubbing the wet spot on her panties.
