And I can already tell that if they find out we are all dating Sadie it’s going to be the talk of the town because Jace’s family is well known. Jace probably knows most of the people who still live here and they will want to know about the pack omega.

I need to talk to the boys about that because I don’t want Sadie spiraling out again.

We need to figure out what happened to our girl and make sure that it never happens again.

Two hours later, I’m all set up for a date night with Sadie.

Heading upstairs, I go into the room she’s been sharing with Cam. He’s the only one she seemed to be able to stand while she was in her nearly catatonic state. Now that she’s out of it, we can take turns in this room.

Have this be Sadie’s base so she has somewhere that is her space and she feels comfortable and in charge of.

“She’s showering.” Cam comments from the bed.

Sitting up, he motions me over, turning his phone so I can see pictures of Sadie. That big smile on her face as she sits on the horse looking like she’s having the time of her life. “Jace is taking her for a ride in the morning. She really liked it.”

I never knew how good it would feel to see someone else happy but knowing Sadie is happy, fuck, it does something to me.

As if she knew I was coming she comes out of the bathroom, dressed in one of my shirts with my flannel on top of it, coming down past her thighs, she smiles at me, walking over to wrap her arms around me.

“Sleep with me tonight?” I grab her hand when she asks me the question, loving that she is reaching out to me.

I’ve missed holding her, feeling her lay against me as she sleeps.

“I have a surprise first, princess.” I loved the way her smile slid on her face as she followed me outside.

Helping Sadie up into the passenger seat of the pickup truck, she is already scooting closer to me when I slide into the driver's seat. She is letting me wrap her up in my arms as we move down to where there is a lake on the property.

It was already past sundown but a thousand stars are lighting up the sky.

“Stay here.” She looks at me as I jump out of the truck.

I’m heading to the bed of the truck, settling the blankets and pillows around. I open the box of pastries and turn on some twinkle lights that I had bought.I’m going out of my norm to try and make sure my omega feels special and appreciated.

This is the first date we have after everything that happened and it’s important to me that she knows how I care for her.

I feel like I am in high school, Trying to impress a girl who I know is out of my league. But I want to make Sadie smile. It’s so beautiful how she lights up when she’s happy and I want her light to always be shining.

Opening the door, her eyes are on me, as I lead her to the back of the truck. I had backed up so it was facing the water, giving us a good view of everything.

Romance was not my strong suit and I could feel the trickle of sweat on the back of my neck. I didn’t want to fuck this up.

“Oh, Pax.” Her soft surprise before she drags me down to hug her.

My nose is dragging over her throat as I lift her up, watching the way her eyes sparkle as she crawls in the blankets. Sadie is holding herarms out as she motions for me to come to her. It surprises the hell out of me when she pulls out her cellphone.

“I want a picture. I want this moment. You and me.” She sets up her phone before crawling back over to me, letting me wrap my arms around her as she smiles at the camera and lets it flash.

Sadie had n't posted any of what happened online. There have been little flashes of us courting. Lots of moody morning shots of her coffee order and Jace’s hands. Plenty of sweaty selfies with Ant wrapped around her like an octopus. Pictures of Sadie wrapped up in Cam as they play video games. She even posts pictures of the meals I make. Her and the one picture, that’s currently my phone background, where I’m asleep and Sadie snapped a selfie.

In the phone she has her he’d under my chin, the blankets pulled up to cover her but my chest is only covered with my omega. She looks perfect, skin bare and hair slightly skewed from sleep. There is pink in her cheeks as she sleepily snapped a selfie of us.

I love that picture.

“Do you mind?” She asks me.

“Don't forget to tag me so everyone knows who your alpha is.” I tease, kissing her head as she leans towards her phone, smiling at the picture.
