“So what’s the status of your work?” Julian stood next to me and Luca, hand on my forearm.
“I have some things to order,” I said. “But yeah, I could stay here if you don’t mind.”
“Mind?” Julian raised an eyebrow. “I’m already plotting how to get you to spend the night again.”
I laughed.
“We need toproperlyromance you,” Julian grinned. “I know you. You’ll convince yourself this is just great sex.”
I couldn’t keep the guilty look off my face. Darn him for knowing me so well. Last night had been amazing, and I hadn’t missed the fact that Logan had asked me to the Farmer’s Market.
But part of me was still thinking this was way too good to be true.
Julian nodded. “See? I called it.”
Luca cocked his head. “Sunshine, we’re crazy about you.”
I was struggling to wrap my mind around the idea that they wanted to date me. At the same time, I was trying to push awaythe anxiety that I would somehow mess this up. Everything I wanted was right here, and it was easy.
Luca squeezed me against me. “I see Julian is right, and we have some romancing to do.”
“It’s okay.” I stole a piece of bacon, trying to cover my nerves. I didn’t want them to know I was basically a bundle of anxious raccoons in a trench coat. “I thought you guys would flirt or give me a signal if you wanted more.”
Logan raised his eyebrow as he flipped more bacon. “And Julian practically humping your leg every time you were in the room didn’t give you a clue?”
“I thought he was just a flirt,” I said, grinning as the omega in question kissed my cheek.
“A flirt withyou,” he said.
Luca caressed the back of my hand, his voice going silky. “I’ve been dying to take you to dinner. A new restaurant called Heartbeat has opened up and I think you’d love it.”
“I want to make you dinner,” Logan said, opening the waffle iron.
“Take you to the beach,” Julian said, then picked up his phone. “Add you to the group chat. Watch movies. Play video games. Have lots of sex.”
“That sounds wonderful,” I said, my breath catching as I thought about the sex.
While we ate breakfast together, Julian asked me about work. Luca added in about his cases, and Logan talked about catering.
It was nice. Cozy. We spent the day together. Luca and I worked on our laptops while Julian played video games. Logan cooked and then sat on the couch with us.
No matter where I was, one of them was touching me. They rotated who was sitting on either side of me, but they stole touches and kisses all day.
We talked, laughed, ate so much food I thought I would explode, and this time it was Luca who asked me to spend the night.
Even though I told myself not to expect to have mind-blowing sex again, all that touching and kissing meant I was already half-aroused by the time evening rolled around.
Lucky for me, Julian’s high sex drive meant it wasn’t long before he was kissing me with intent and dragging me back to the nest. The four of us shared amazing sex again. As I drifted off to sleep, I couldn’t help but wonder what I’d done to get so lucky.
Chapter 22
Sunshine
The next few days fell into a lovely routine where every morning I went to work and every evening, instead of going back to my cottage, I stayed with Pack Kahele.
Before I knew it, it was the end of the week. Julian had a shift on Saturday, which was the day that Talia and I had set aside to catch up. I had family dinner on Sunday, so I decided that it made sense for me to spend Saturday night at my own place.
When I got to Cupcake My Day, the doorbell jingled as I pushed through the door. Talia was behind the counter talking with Aine, a petite raven-haired beta. Aine was around our age and was one of the other bakers who’d decided to share the space while they built up experience alongside their client base.
