“By you?” The look he gave me was pure heat. “Any day.”

Oh, he was dangerous. My core clenched, and I fought not to drop my clipboard. I headed for my office.

“You’re not being matched with me,” I reminded him. And myself. “I’m going to put your pack into our database to be matched with other members.”

“Right.” Evan grinned like he had a secret.

“Other members,” I said again, holding the door to my office open. “I don’t need a pack.”

“You could borrow one for a little while,” he winked.

Oh damn. I was sorely tempted to take him up on that offer. Borrow a pack through my heat and then walk away, preferably after putting a stake through Simon’s heart.

No. I could be strong. It was just nearly unbearable sexual lust, not to mention wanting to be cuddled within an inch of my life. Maybe Evan wouldn’t make me feel too needy, but Simon did not seem to be the cuddly type.

I pointed at a chair, and he sat down. “Yes ma’am.”

I grabbed a clipboard off my desk and passed it over as Simon arrived.

With Jerrick behind him.

I paused. “It’s you.”

“We have an appointment,” Simon said stiffly.

Jerrick gave me a small smile. His blackberry scent, mixed in with the smoked caramel and marshmallow of Simon, was lit up by Evan’s beachwater musk, and suddenly I was lightheaded.

My knees gave out, and I grabbed my desk. My perfume blossomed: there was no other word for it. I normally couldn’t smell my own scent, but peaches and orange filled the room, making their scent together sweeter and riper.

“Air,” I gasped.

Jerrick opened up a window to let a cool breeze in. My skin was sticky and clammy, and I took in a deep breath. It helped, but it wasn’t going to be enough in close quarters.

“Let’s get out of my office.” I sucked in another breath.

Simon looked at me, and then at the other two men. All three of them were looking at me like an all you can eat buffet.

I wanted tobean all you can eat buffet.

Simon cleared his throat. “Are you alright? We can reschedule.”

“I’m fine.”

I was totally not fine, but I wouldn’t let him know how badly they had affected me. Let them think my perfume was this strong because I was pre-heat, not because I wanted them to cover me like the peanut butter to my marshmallow fluffernutter sandwich.

I led them to a small sitting area outside my office. Sometimes the scent of all those alphas, betas, and omegas coming in and out of the building sent my brain into overload.

I had a little table and chairs and could eat without the sounds of postering alphas disturbing me. There was enough of a breeze that I could think without my hormones informing me it was time for Phase Two: All the Naked Times.

Simon sat between Evan and Jerrick. The three of them were as different as they could be, but still fit like pieces of a puzzle.

I was a dead woman walking. Desire curled inside me, building like they were licking me, kissing me, sucking me.

I drew in a shaky breath.

“You’re alright?” Jerrick asked.

“Yes.” I let my breath out. Their combined scent was so much more intense. Simon watched me like I was a mouse that would run, and Evan’s gaze roved over my body like he couldn’t decide what he wanted to do first.
