“Lennox is the first man I’ve been with. I honestly never suspected I was attracted to men before, not until him. I saw him differently one day, and that was it; I was a goner. And I’m not lying when I tell you it wasn’t something that’s happened in the past. It was truly one night that changed everything. I don’t think you want me to get into too much detail.”
Nick puts his hand up, stopping my word vomit. “I refuse to let him get hurt. Fuck, I don’t want you to suffer, either. This is hard for me. I love you both so much. How do you know you’re not going to wake up one day and decide you want to go back to dating women? Lennox has already had a ton of bad luck with men. And I’m really fucking hurt, Jensen. Neither of you thought to tell me? You both wanted to keep it a secret.”
“No. We both intended to tell you. Hell, the day you caught us is when we were planning to come talk to you about everything. But at first, yeah, we hoped to keep it hidden. Why cause unnecessary drama when we didn’t have a clue about what was really going on or what could happen in the future?”
“I don’t know what to say. I’m pissed and hurt. You’re my best friend, and he’s my brother. This could be awkward as fuck.”
We sit in silence for a few seconds until I attempt to break the ice again. “I know we went about this the wrong way. But I miss you and I’m positive that Lennox misses you. Can you please try to forgive us? Or, at the very least, try to talk to Lennox?”
“Yeah, man. I’ll get in touch with Lennox. This might take me some time to come around. I’m sorry.”
“I get it. Thanks for talking with me.”
Nick nods his head, and I take that as my cue to leave. I don’t want to push him by forcing him to converse with me more. Hell, I’m lucky he even let me in his house to begin with. I stand up, pretending to dust off my jeans before I look at him again. “He’ll be at my place tonight and he usually comes by after class if you want to speak with him. Please talk to him, Nick. He misses you.”
With those last words, I walk out of his living room and go toward my bike. It’s a beautiful day outside, not too cold, just a slight breeze with the sun shining brightly. I pull out my phone, seeing that Lennox is still at the restaurant with Preston. Knowing he’s going to be a while longer, I decide to take my bike out onto the road. I need to clear my head after talking with Nick. I know the ball is in his court now and I can only hope he takes it.

LENNOX
Ever since themoment I got to fuck Jensen, it’s all I’ve thought about. Even when I was at dinner with Preston the other night, I turned the conversation to sex, asking him for his advice. Of course, he didn’t make me feel dumb for asking questions, and he was willing to give me tips and suggestions about when I finally bottom for Jensen. Which I’m hoping will be soon.
There are only a couple weeks left of school until we’re out for winter break and I’m so damn excited to be done for a little bit. I have so many fun activities planned for Jensen and me since I’ll be able to do more during the day.
As I pull into Jensen’s driveway, the sight of Nick’s car makes me break into a sweat. I haven’t seen or heard from him since the day he caught me and Jensen together. I’ve tried multiple times to reach out until I eventually gave up altogether. If he’s here, does that mean he and Jensen are on speaking terms again? And what does that mean for us?
After grabbing my bag and jacket and locking the car, I slowly walk up the stairs to Jensen’s place. I use my key to unlock the door, cautiously pushing it open. I strain my ears to see if I can hear anything, but nothing other than silence greets me. It’s likethe other night when I walked in on Jensen in his bed, but I know it’ll be completely different this time around.
The TV in the living room is on the lowest volume setting, but I head there first, hoping someone will be waiting. Once I enter the space, two sets of eyes stare back at me. A gorgeous pair of blue eyes and a set of brown eyes I’ve known my whole life.
“Hi,” I whisper to the quiet room. My gaze darts between Jensen and Nick, neither of them saying a word.
“Hi, sweetheart.” Jensen gets up from his seat and walks over to me, placing a kiss on my cheek. “I think you and Nick should talk. Alone. I’m going to go out and ride my bike around for a while and I’ll be back soon. But call me if you need me, okay?”
“Okay,” I tell him, peeking at him before darting my eyes back to Nick.
I hear the jingle of his keys and the closing of the door before, finally, the rumble of his bike starts. I’m still standing in the same spot, my feet not moving.
“Come sit down, Lennox. We’re not going to fight.”
“Could have fooled me.” I roll my eyes, walking over to the couch and sitting down. “Ya know, with that tantrum you threw the other day.”
“How would you have felt, Lennox? If you walked into my house one day and saw me making out with Declan on my couch. Not knowing anything was going on, but walking into that. How do you think you would have been feeling?”
“Betrayed,” I say so quietly I’m certain he can barely hear me.
“What was that?” he asks, scooting up on the couch to get closer to me. Tears prick my eyes because I know exactly how I would feel if he had been going behind my back.
“I’d feel betrayed. But I swear that’s not what we were trying to do,” I rush out, moving off my couch to sit next to him. “It just sorta happened, and we wanted to tell you, but we needed to make sure it was something first before we told you.”
“Yeah, Jensen said the same thing. I still don’t understand how it happened. You’ve known each other for years, and now, after some random run in, you decide to date? Or whatever it is you’re doing.”
“We’re dating. And I can tell you everything from how it started to where it is going now. But I need you to listen, not judge, and keep an open mind.”
“Not judge? What the fuck?” I raise my eyebrow, waiting for him to agree. “Fine, whatever, I won’t judge.”
“Alright, it started a couple of months ago. I was at work and he came in and saw me.”
