Once the music starts, the nerves disappear, and I plaster a huge smile on my face. As soon as the chorus hits, I climb the post, flipping myself over so I’m upside down, shaking my ass to the beat. I can tell the minute the crowd sees my jockstrap when there are a few moans and whoops throughout the room. After spinning on the pole a few times, I slide down, letting Declan have his turn in the spotlight. While he’s showing off, I grind onto the floor, rotating my hips. I imagine doing this as a personal show for Jensen, which I really hope gets to happen.

After each of us has our turn, we come together to finish the routine. Spinning around, I bend over, flipping my skirt up, before standing upright and dropping into a split.

We wrap up, and I stay on the stage to do my solo routine. I go through the dance, my eyes scanning the room for ocean-blue ones. When I finally find him in the sea of men, he has the most gorgeous smile on his face. His eyes follow me around the area, never leaving me. The music ends, and the high of dancing fades away. I make my usual rounds, purposely leaving Jensen’s area for last.

“What did you think?” I ask, sliding up to the booth he’s sitting in.

“That I really want to see that jockstrap up close and personal.”

“Who knows? You might be lucky enough. How long are you staying?”

Jensen leans closer once the music starts up again. “I was planning to ask if I could give you a ride home. I rode my bike, but I have an extra helmet if you’d want.”

“I’ve never been on a motorcycle before. I have another dance coming up and then I can head out. Are you sure you want to wait?”

“Positive.”

“Okay.”

The rest of the night passes by slowly, my thoughts on spending more time with Jensen. Once it’s finally time for me to leave, I quickly change my clothes, tossing on a sweatshirt, and packing up my stuff. Jensen sent me a text earlier telling me he would wait for me outside, so I sprint out the back door, but not before I pull out my phone and turn on the light. I spot his bike next to my car and, deflating with a sigh, remember I drove here.

“Shit, what do I do with my car?”

Jensen laughs, eyeing my vehicle. “Yeah, I kinda forgot about that, too. Also, forgot you got off work so damn late. Maybe we can do a raincheck on the bike ride?”

“Oh, uh, sure,” I tell him, grabbing tightly onto my bag. Does that mean he wants a raincheck on the entire night? I was really hoping to get more kissing done. “So, does that mean you’re too old to hang out tonight? Is it past your bedtime?” I joke.

“What the hell? I’m not old. I could easily keep up with you.” Jensen winks, stepping closer to me.

Dragging my hand down his chest, I whisper, “Maybe we should head to your place so you can prove it.”

Jensen laughs, causing goosebumps to appear on my skin. “Don’t say something you don’t mean.”

“Just because we won’t have penetrative sex doesn’t mean there aren’t other things we can do,” I purr, feeling really horny now that I’m in such proximity to him.

“Fucking sold. Leave the car, take the car, whatever you want. Just meet me at my house.”

“I’ll take my car, so it’s easier to get home, or ya know, in case I need a quick getaway.” Jensen tickles my side, and I howl, falling into his embrace. “I’m kidding. But come on, I’ll meet you there.”

JENSEN

Lennox pulls in behindme and turns his bright headlights off, encasing us in the darkness. I grab my helmet and walk over to his car, pulling his door open for him.

“Such a gentleman,” he says, exiting the car and stepping close to me. “Be careful. I might get too used to you doing nice things for me.”

“Men should always do nice things for you.”

“Pfft. Not the men I’ve dated.” He shuts his door quickly, locking it and then staring up at me.

“I want to know more about your past,” I tell him, placing my hand on the small of his back and guiding him up the walkway.

“Trust me, you don’t.”

“I really do, Lennox.”

“Okay, where do I start?” We walk into the house, and I set my stuff down on the counter. Lennox drops his backpack onto the floor and then kicks off his shoes. “Not all my exes are bad. I mean, sure, some are worse than others, but I wasn’t ever really treated horribly. It was more so, there was something off with each of them.”
