I glanced to my identical twin and raised a brow at him.

“That’s cool,” I said, catching Sever’s eye in the rearview mirror again, and hitting the gas to go through the green light. “I’ll introduce myself to her if you don’t want to see her. Maybe give her some dick?—”

My words were cut short by Sever’s leg lashing out and kicking my seat violently. Ren let out a whoop while I cursed loudly from the jolt.

“Fucking dick. Knock it off,” I shouted at him as he continued to kick my seat. “I swear I’ll stop this car?—”

“And I’ll kick your ass,” Ren hollered, finishing my sentence and slapping his hands on the dashboard like a wild man.

Sever stopped his attack on my seat before calling me a prick again.

“Does Sever have a thing for our new toy? Why, yes. He does.” Ren pulled a joint out from his jacket pocket and lit it. “She’s going to have a thing for me soon though because I’m going to run my cock through her pussy?—”

“Motherfucker.” Sever reached out and strangled Renzo from behind. Renzo’s face reddened and his joint fell onto his lap.

I pulled the car over and put it into park before getting out and opening Sever’s door. I punched him in the face once. Twice. He released Renzo who let out a choked laugh, not even giving a shit that Sever had nearly killed him.

I didn’t say a damn thing as I slammed Sever’s door closed and went around to my side and got in. I pulled onto the street while Renzo blew out a hit before turning in his seat to Sever.

“Want some, little brother?”

Sever watched him for a moment before taking the joint and sucking a hit from it before handing it back.

“There you go. Calm your weird ass down. Truce, OK?”

Sever grunted.

“We won’t fuck with your pretty new toy until after you do. Deal?”

Sever scowled at him again.

“I don’t know,” I teased softly as I turned to go to the mansion I shared with my brothers on the edge of town. “I think she needs to eat and drink. Cock meat sandwich and come. I have both. If you don’t go in and do it, Sever, I will?—”

Sever glared at me in the rearview mirror again. Sever was violence, pure and simple. And a dash of hatred. There wasn’t a memory in my head where he’d ever been a normal kid. Since the moment our mother pushed him out of her cunt he’d been a fucking storm cloud.

I knew what Renzo was talking about though. I vaguely recalled Sever following Misery around when we were kids. We were juniors when they were freshman, but I remembered them sitting together a few times, doing homework. I assumed it was a friendship, although Sever never really had friends. If I had to label it, she was the closest he ever came to having a friend or even a girlfriend. Sure, he fucked and left bitches all the time, but he certainly didn’t do any of them twice. He was a one and done sort of guy. To be fair, we didn’t keep chicks around long either. I’d tried having a girlfriend once, but Renzo fucked her, then we fucked her together. She got weird and started sending nudes to Renzo and ignoring me, so we killed her before we took care of each other’s needs.

That was love. At least in our world.

Sever looked out the window again, not bothering to answer me. I knew he was pissed because a muscle worked along his jaw as he continued to glare out the window.

Renzo rolled the window down and chucked his half-drank soda out, smacking a couple walking with the contents. They screamed and cursed at him while he cackled and rolled the window up.

I shook my head and grinned at him.

“Should have shot them like the fashion police. Who the fuck walks around wearing fucking earmuffs? Dudes and earmuffs? Shit’s weird.” Ren settled back in his seat and lit another joint.

I pulled the car into the garage and we piled out. Night had settled in long ago. We’d gone out and roughed up a guy before slitting his throat. His blood was still all over us since we wrapped him in plastic and stuck him in the trunk. Like always, Sever had collected a sample to use in his next masterpiece.

“We going to get rid of the prick in the trunk?” Renzo asked.

“Tomorrow. I’m hungry,” I said, getting out of the car.

Renzo followed, Sever bringing up the rear with the bags of food in his hands. We went inside to find Mass on the phone, snapping at someone. I shot a smirk to Renzo who snickered. Mass had been in a shit mood since Benicio had dropped Misery off to us. I assumed it was because he hated our old man. We all hated that old fuck, but at least he remembered us on the holidays. Even if we were already well into the new year. So there was that.

“Where you going?” I called out to Sever as he walked out of the room carrying a bottle of water.

He didn’t answer me. He simply left the room without a backward glance.
