“Nope,” Garrett said. “Nor do we want our wives on our case that we are messing this one up.”

He laughed. “That too. But Hyde took it in stride and said that if he and Tori can’t work something out, he’s positive we’d make sure they do.”

“Damn straight,” Garrett said. “Glad to know our reputation got us this one in the end!”

EPILOGUE

Four Months Later

“What canI get you to drink, Tori?” Bryon asked her.

“She’ll have a sex on the beach,” Hyde said, walking up next to her and slipping his arm around her waist.

Bryon looked back and forth between the two of them.

She still came here for a wine and some food, but it was only about once a month now. She always came alone. She had something better to go to at home, but she liked her little after-work routine.

“I think I will,” she said. “He’ll take a whiskey.”

“Sure,” Hyde said, nodding his head and sitting next to her.

“What am I missing here?” Bryon said. “I know this is the dude that you gave shit to a long time ago.”

“One year ago today,” Hyde said.

She turned to look at him, shocked to hear that.

“What?” she asked. “It is?”

“Don’t tell me you can’t remember the anniversary of the day we met. I’m hurt.”

Tori laughed. “No, you’re not.”

“You’re right,” he said, smirking. “I’m not. I don’t know that I’d change anything about our relationship.”

“Relationship?” Bryon said. “Girl, you’ve got some explaining to do. Not once have you said you’re dating someone.”

“My heart,” Hyde said, adorably putting his hand to his chest. “It’s breaking.”

“No, it’s not,” she said, laughing.

“You’re right,” he said. “It’s not. I know my girl. She likes her alone time and I want her to know she can still have it.”

“Your girl?” she asked.

Bryon set her drink down followed by Hyde’s whiskey.

“You’re not that?” he asked.

“I am,” she said, taking a sip. “Just the first time you’ve said it.”

He grinned. “How about instead of that I call you my fiancée?”

She coughed on her drink. “What?”

“Dude,” Bryon said. “You’re going to propose on the same date and place that Tori gave you shit?”

“I am,” he said. “It’s what I love about her so much. That she isn’t afraid to speak her mind.”
