When he returns to the bedroom, he finds Harp looking at him strangely.

“A bath?” Harp says, raising his eyebrow.

“A bath,” Parker says, nodding. He extends his hand, and though he means to pull Harp up, he’s more tired than he expects and Harp ends up pulling him down. Parker laughs and kisses him before getting up once more.

“C’mon,” Parker says, beckoning Harp to follow him. “The sooner we get cleaned up, the sooner we can sleep for approximately fifteen hours to recover, and then we can wake up and fuck again.”

Harp wakesup long after sunrise and his first thought when he opens his eyes to find his bedroom bathed in gentle morning light is that he's overslept.

His life catches up with his brain after several seconds though, after he makes the sweet realization that Parker is in his bed, that today is Christmas. He'd slept hard and dreamless through the night, the type of sleep where he wakes up on the other side feeling like his body has renewed overnight, as if he's shed his skin like a snake—more physical than mentally profound, really, but undeniable.

As frightening as it is, he's getting used to waking up with Parker in the morning. In some corner of his mind, Harp realizes that he's always been waiting to wake up from this dream since their first kiss. But he's not anymore.

This is as real as real can get. Harp's mind replays the past 24 hours for him, the parts that make his cock pulse in an echo of arousal and the parts that make his heart sink.

Parker loves him—and though they'd seemed to put a pin in that conversation the night before, he knows they ought to talk about it.

But what is he even going to say about it?

"I'm flattered. I'm happy. I love that you love me, but I'm scared what might happen if I say it back to you."

At least that would be a start,he chides himself.

Harp tucks the sleeping Parker into his chest, not sure if he's ready to get up yet, not sure if he wants this day to start because he knows it'll end too fast once it does, once Parker is awake.
