“Apparently, we are social butterflies, but it worked in our favor. Otherwise, it would have taken us weeks to move into this house,” Walker pointed out.
In fact, we had been moved into the house within a matter of hours, thanks to the support from all our friends. We actually spent the majority of the day just having fun and goofing off, eating good food and playing on the slide.
“Whoever decided to get the paper plates is officially a genius,” I said. “Doing a bunch of dishes right now would be hell on earth.”
Sunny raised her hand gleefully. “I’m taking full credit for that one.”
“Smart, smart woman,” I said, lifting my beer bottle in the air.
Walker, who was sitting on the bench with Sunny, wrapped an arm around her shoulders, pulling her in. “You were fucking amazing today, you know that?”
“Me?” she asked, surprised.
Walker snorted. “Do you have any idea how hard it is to run an event with that many firefighters? Somehow everyone was happy, got fed, and we all had a great time.”
Sunny beamed up at him. “I had fun.”
Walker cupped the side of her face, pulling her in for a kiss. Even though we were enjoying the evening air, the smell of her perfume was obvious.
She wanted us.
Suddenly, I was no longer tired, not by a long shot.
Sitting up straighter, I watched Walker take control of the kiss, Sunny melting into his embrace as his hand trailed up the skirt of her sundress.
I had no idea where that dress had come from, but the pretty, pastel pink number had been torturing me all day. It dipped just low enough in the front to reveal a hint of cleavage, but not too much, leaving me panting for more.
Sunny’s moans were swallowed by Walker’s kiss as she turned to lean farther into him.
“Fuck, this is amazing to watch,” Blaze muttered. I nodded in agreement, never pulling my gaze away from Sunny and Walker.
The pair were utterly lost in each other. Did they even know we were here? I wasn’t complaining, I was simply curious.
“I think we need to christen this house,” Walker muttered, pulling back slightly.
Sunny bit her lip, looking at us all in turn, excitement clear on her face. “I agree.”
Had more beautiful words ever been spoken?
“You think you can handle all of us, Cher?” I asked, cocking an eyebrow. I was more than convinced she could, but I couldn't help but tease.
Looking me dead in the eye, she smirked. “I think I can handle it. Either way, it's going to be a damn good time.”
Blaze cackled with glee. “Sunshine, you are the best!”
She turned to Blaze. “You know, you really should bite me this time,” she said thoughtfully as she tapped her chin.
My pack mate’s eyes widened almost comically as he spluttered out his reply, his bravado from only a moment earlier gone. “W-what?”
“Well, I was going to tell you to do it last time, but considering you accosted me right before we left this morning, I couldn’t exactly ask you to bite me. That would have resulted in a knot, and then we would have been late.”
I bit back a laugh. Blaze looked utterly dumbstruck. And speechless. That had to be a first.
“This is the first night in our forever home, and I think it would be wrong to go to bed on our first night together as a pack without having all of you. I am an honorable lady, after all,” she said playfully.
“Well,” Walker said, dragging her onto his lap, “I’m not going to fault that logic. We need to make an honest woman of you.”
Sunny glanced around the backyard. “Just how isolated is this place?”
