“Mhmm. She went to change and gasped. I came in to check on her and saw it,” he says. “Nothing seems to be broken, but she bruises easily.”

“Just laying around with your titties out?” Talon asks me. His voice sounds playful but I still have anxiety over it.

“I was changing. He told me to lay down so he could make sure I was okay. It’s not what it—“ I say quickly as I get up and fix my shirt.

“Relax,” he chuckles and kisses my temple. “Any other bruises? Anything sore?”

“Uhm… no,” I say quietly.

“You’re acting weird,” Talon remarks. “Anything you want to say?”

“No,” I say quickly. “Nothing happened with us.”

“Nothing happened?” he asks. “I never mentioned you two, Delaney.”

Fuck. Now I look guilty. “I just thought maybe you were upset that he was laying with me,” I say, not meeting his eyes. He gently lifts my chin, and I tear up. “I’m sorry.”

“For what?” he asks simply. I cannot discern his emotions with how neutral he seems.

“I’m making everything worse,” I say.

“I’m going to ask you the same thing that I asked him, and I’d like for you to be honest, okay?” he asks, and I nod. “Do you have feelings for Jude?”

“Tal, I would never—“

“That’s not what I asked, Delaney,” he says simply. “Do you have feelings for Jude?”

“No,” I say tearfully.

“Baby, why are you crying? I’m not upset at you,” he says softly, stroking my cheek.

“You aren’t mad?” I ask.

“What is there to be mad at? You were scared and he comforted you,” he says. “Did you fuck him?”

“I was asleep, Tal. I promise I wouldn’t—“

“All you were doing was sleeping,” Talon says, pointing to the camera in the corner of the room. I knew it was there but if he’s watching it, he must be suspicious of something. I need to keep my distance from Viper before I end up making Talon upset. I am so fucking drawn to him, though. I’ve felt it for a while now.

“Why are you asking if you already know the answer?” I ask coldly.

“Because you are acting like you are guilty of something,” he says. “You haven’t done anything wrong, so I am curious about what you are thinking.”

“Nothing,” I say. “What are we doing tonight?”

“Going to the clubhouse to hang out. Thought it would be good to show everyone that we are okay,” he says.

“Okay,” I reply simply.

“Get dressed and we can go,” he says, kissing me. I hesitate again, but go to the closet. I find a simple black dress and Talon gives me a strange look when I go to change in the bathroom. “What are you doing?”

“N-Nothing,” I say. I intentionally put my back to Viper and pull my shirt off. Before I can get the dress on, Talon grabs my waist and pulls me closer. “Talon.”

“What?” he asks with a smirk as he pushes my shorts down.

“Can I get dressed?” I ask. He simply smiles and drags my underwear down with my shorts. He takes the dress and slowly pulls it over my head. I can feel Viper looking at me and it makes me fidget. I reach a point to where I am unable to sit still and yank my arms away from him. I try to back up but run into Viper.

“What’s wrong?” Talon asks me.
