“Talon, that’s enough,” Cheryl barks. “I think it’s time for you to leave.”

Talon chuckles, but he looks broken. “Is that all you wanted? You just wanted to take the last bit of him I had left.”

“Talon… go,” Cheryl says.

“Some fucking mother you are,” Talon mutters. His eyes meet mine for a second and all I see is pain. It’s suddenly gone, and a harder version of himself takes over when he looks back at Logan. “I’m not selling.”

Talon abruptly turns and walks out of the house, and everyone is silent. “Fuck,” Logan shouts, breaking up the silence first.

“I’m sorry,” I say quietly.

“You’re sorry?” Logan turns and asks me.

“Logan, I won’t defend her often, but he never would have sold. He would have just fucked your fiancée in front of you and left anyway,” Vince says.

“He’s right,” Cheryl says. “I don’t know where we went wrong with him.”

“You know what…” Logan says, thinking. “I’m done.”

“What do you mean?” Vince asks.

“It’s time the fucker went to jail,” Logan answers.

Chapter Two

Talon

I don’t know whyI thought this time would be different. Mom called, and I knew. I knew it was a setup, but that broken little boy inside of me was hoping she finally wanted to repair our relationship. What a fucking joke.

And that woman Logan brought with him… She looked like a fucking hostage. When Logan grabbed her hand, she was shaking. All the Hendricks women are gold digging whores, so she’s not any different. If she hadn’t looked like she was going to cry, I definitely would have held her little ass down and fucked her in front of all of them. God, the way I would make that bitch scream.

“Hey,” Viper greets when I walk into the warehouse. He looks up from his phone and curls his face up. “What did they want?”

“The last bit of the company,” I say. “Logan tried to offer up his fiancée, too.”

“You fuck her?” he asks with a laugh.

“Nah. I’m into making them fight, but she looked terrified. There’s no telling what she’s been told about me. Apparently, they get married next week.”

“Ew. How’d he convince someone to marry him?” Rogue asks. “She ugly?”

“Fuck no. She’s sexy as hell,” I say. “He probably stole her.”

“How sexy we talkin?” Viper asks with an amused look on his face.

“Sexy enough that none of you fuckers are allowed to touch her,” I say. “We ready?”

“We are ready,” Viper laughs. “Let’s get it.”

We go through the warehouse, and I drop down from the bay door to the gravel. We have a massive deal tonight and Torch has been working all day to make sure all the explosives are accounted for. We have been planning this for months now, so I’m joining to make sure everything goes smoothly.

“All set?” I ask.

“Yes, sir,” Torch says. “Just stay away from fire.”

“If not, it’ll make for a great show,” Rogue laughs.

“Viper?” I call.
