One Week Later
Every day that Iwake up next to Talon is a blessing. Every day our bond grows stronger, and comfort comes easier. We are finding a sense of normalcy in our lives and our relationship. It has been amazing to get to know him on a deep personal level. He is just as sweet as I thought he was, but he fucks like a monster. My favorite thing is when he calls me Daddy’s little whore.
During the day he does a lot of managing his bars and we have even looked into buying a new one. He has been in meetings today for it. He hates having to put on a suit, but holy fuck, helooks incredible. It doesn’t hide the tattoos on his neck or hands, but even then, it’s sexy as fuck. I still prefer him in jeans and a T-shirt, though.
Talon is in a meeting with the bank and has been for most of the day. Viper, Rogue, Torch, and Knox have been doing inventory at the bars. I figured if I had to sit around and do nothing all day, I wanted to do it here. I’ve been sitting by the pool for most of the afternoon. I’m alone, so I just have my bikini on.
Approaching footsteps force my eyes snap open. I sigh when I see it is Fang. He’s not supposed to be here. “What are you doing here?” I ask simply.
“Just thought I’d stop by. Where is everyone?” Fang asks as he stops at my feet.
“Busy. You aren’t allowed here without them. You know that,” I say.
“Why? Think I’ll do something,Raven?“ he asks mockingly.
“It doesn’t matter why. Those are the rules,” I snap as I sit up.
“You know… I’m about sick of your attitude,” he frowns. “All I wanted to do was come keep you company.”
“You knew I was alone?” I ask.
“Yeah,” he laughs, inching closer to me.
“Why did you ask where they were?”
“Wanted to see if you would lie and try to save yourself,” he smirks.
Save myself? Oh fuck.
I don’t know what he is implying by saying that, but I don’t trust it. I stare at him for a second, but the moment he moves, I throw myself out of the chair. Before I can run, he grabs hold of my ponytail and yanks me back. “Let go of me,” I scream.
“What’s wrong, Raven? Not so confident without Hawk, huh?” he cackles as he shoves me onto the lounger. I try to get up again, but panic when he grabs hold of the ties of the bottoms of my bikini.
“Stop! Stop it,” I scream, my voice cracking as the realization sinks in.
“Aww. Poor little Delaney,” he mocks as he yanks my bottoms off. I kick at him, trying to get up but he just laughs and grabs my ankle and drags me closer.
“Please don’t,” I sob as he shoves my legs apart. “Please, stop. Please.”
“I’m so sick of bitches like you,” he growls before slapping me across the face. I put my hands on his chest and try to push him away as he pulls his dick out. He ignores my fighting and shoves himself inside of me.
“No!” I say with a shrill scream as I hit him as hard as I can. He grunts as he starts to thrust deeper. Until this point, I onlysaw it as rape. When he wraps his hands around my throat, it’s a death sentence. Talon humiliated him and his revenge is taking me away from him. His grip is tight and no matter how much I claw and pull at his hands, he doesn’t stop.
“No one mocks me,” he growls. “Fight me, bitch.”
He continues to shout at me, but my hearing is becoming more and more impaired as my impending death comes into view. I am weakening fast as he rapidly stabs into me, chasing down a release. He is getting off on how much power he has, knowing my death will devastate Talon. His previously cold demeanor will be welcomed compared to what my death will bring.
My arms go slack and fall to my sides. The world is darkening, and I can’t fight it anymore. As I start to slip away, oxygen suddenly rushes into my lungs as Fang is ripped off of me. I roll off the lounge chair and gasp for air as I cough and gag. Arms wrap around me, but I hear Viper before panic can sneak back in.
“It’s me. I’ve got you,” Viper says softly as he wraps a towel around my waist and pulls me into his lap. I instinctively curl myself up as he holds me. He rocks my body but stays silent as he rests his cheek on the top of my head. I know the others are here, but Talon isn’t.
“What the fuck are you two…” I hear Talon boom, but he abruptly stops. “What happened?”
“Fang attacked her,” Torch says with anger in his tone.
“Laney,” Talon says as he gently touches my shoulder. It’s like a switch flipping and I abruptly turn and throw my arms around his neck as he scoops me up and sits with me in his lap next to Viper. “What happened, Jude?”
“We stopped by here because she had been home alone all day, and we didn’t know when you’d be back… I pulled him off her,” Viper says softly. “She doesn’t have bottoms on… so I wrapped her towel around her.”
