We’ve be laying aroundfor most of the morning. My arm is definitely sore today, but manageable. We are taking Talon’s bike out today. He insists that I wear boots, jeans, and a leather jacket, so he is cleaning my tattoo now before we leave. I will wear a cardigan under the jacket so I can still wear the shirt I have on without the leather sticking to the tattoo.

“Do I really have to wear this thick ass jacket?” I complain.

“Yes,” he says firmly. “You look much better with skin.”

“I’ll keep my skin if you don’t wreck,” I grumble.

“Little Flower, you can guarantee that I will never wreck us, but I cannot say the same for everyone else on the road. People simply do not pay attention to motorcycles on the road and there arethings out of my control. If we go down, I want you to be dressed appropriately to minimize the chance of injury… like losing all of your skin.

“Alright. I’ll stop complaining,” I laugh.

“Ready to go?” he asks, pulling me up from the bed to stand.

“I am,” I say. “Where are we going?”

“To a charity benefit,” he says. “We help raise money and take donations for kids during Christmas. This benefit is like a kickoff.”

“Really?” I ask.

“Mhmm. Surprised?”

“Uhm. Kinda. Is that bad?” I ask, and he chuckles. “Just imagining you in a bike with a giant babydoll.”

“Last year was a giant teddy bear riding bitch, but now you get to,” he smiles.

“I’m confused by that terminology, but I’ll go with it,” I laugh.

We go downstairs and find the others in the garage with the bikes. “Hey,” Viper says with a smile.

“Everyone ready to ride?” Talon asks as he helps me put the leather jacket on. It looks exactly like the vest he gave me, only with sleeves.

“Yeah. We are ready,” he says. “Fang got his head out of his ass. He should be here in a second.”

“Looks like he’s in the driveway,” I say, pointing out the garage window to where Fang is leaning against his bike.

Torch hits the button to open the door and Fang looks up. He looks like he’d rather be anywhere else but here. “Hey,” Talon says to Fang.

“Hey,” Fang says simply. “She’s coming?”

“Yeah. That okay with you?” Talon says, challenging him.

“Yes,” Fang frowns. “Just wondering.”

“Logan, Vince, and Cheryl are going to be at the benefit,” Talon says. “If Laney cannot be with me, Viper, she will be with you. I do not want her by herself for any reason.”

“What if I have to pee?” I ask.

“Then one of us will be with you,” Talon says. “I trust Viper to be respectful.”

“Yeah, because he’d cut my hands off and stuff them up my ass,” Viper laughs.

“That the only reason?” Talon asks, raising an eyebrow.

“I’m not answering that,” Viper says, shaking his head. “We should go.”

“Mhmm,” Talon says before turning tome. “Ready, Little Flower?”
