We have to break our kiss as we slide into the saddle together, and I feel a sense of loss like a hollow crater just formed in my stomach. But as Slate kicks the engine to life, I wrap my arms around his waist and lean into him, holding himclose as we speed out of the parking lot, his words echoing in my mind.

“I love her, Saxon. She’s mine.”

My dad will find out sooner or later. And when he does, he might kill me.

He might kill Slate too.

But what choice do I have? I’ve fallen for Slate, and there’s no coming back. No resisting. No fighting it. All I can do is go with the flow and pray that it all works out.

Because he’s not letting me go.

And I’m not letting him go.

Not ever.

SLATE

I should be thinkingabout what I just did.

About how I defied Saxon, the one guy who’s consistently had my back since I was a desperate teenager with no place to go. I should be panicked about the future. There’s no way things with Ivy will end up going smoothly. The world is set and ready to get in our way.

But as I lay her down on the bed, her thin arms wrapped around my neck like she never wants to let go, all I can think about is the future I could have with her.

Thank God Ivy comes from the same world as me. She didn’t judge when I brought her back to my place, an old run-down farmhouse just outside of town. I desperately wish I had more to give her.

A real home.

But for now, this will have to do.

Ivy’s golden-brown eyes open wide as I slide her shirt up and reveal her perfect, perky tits. If there is a God, he took extra time on Ivy.

I lean down to kiss her, my cock swollen beneath my jeans, hard and ready to fuck. But Ivy stops me with a finger over my lips.

“Are you sure about this?” she asks, her voice gentle and timid. “I don’t want to ruin anything for you.”

I cup her face, tracing her soft lines with my thumb. “Ruin anything? Baby, you’re the only thing in my life I’d risk everything for.” I’m sharing my soul with her. That’s something I don’t do. “The club? The rules? None of that matters if I don’t have you in my life.”

Her eyes blaze back at me, and she tilts her hips up against my center. I draw in a deep breath through my nostrils, infusing them with her scent.

“You sure know how to talk to a girl.” She smiles.

“Only you,” I correct her. “You’re the only woman I’ve ever let into my house, into my bed. And you know what? You’re also gonna be the last.”

I watch as the blush creeps across her cheeks, making me even harder.

The world outside could be on fire. Saxon could be on his way here now to try and talk some sense into me. Ivy’s father could be with him, gun in hand. But right now, all I care about is Ivy.

She belongs to me now. And I’ll go toe to toe with anyone who tries to take her from me.

I waste no time taking Ivy’s pants off. I tug them down and off like an eager madman and toss them to the floor. She lies on my bed, completely naked, like a goddess who just floated down from above. Her body is perfect. She looks sexy and innocent at the same time, and my mouth is watering with ravenous desire.

But despite how assertive and rebellious she is, I can tell by the way she’s twisting onto her side that she’s still shy. Seeing her nervous makes me even harder.

“Spread your legs, baby,” I tell her, stripping off my shirt. She can’t hide her gaze as it sweeps across my torso. “Let me see that pretty little pussy.”

Her blush deepens. She hesitates a moment but eventually twists onto her back and slowly lets her knees fall apart, revealing everything to me.
