“In an hour, it will all be over,” I assure Jade by kissing her forehead before dropping my hand to her belly. “And this little one will have a mother and a father to love them.”

Jacob is already waiting in the groom’s room with a rented tux he snagged from his brother’s shop downtown. He’s wearing a matching one and has matching white rose boutonnieres and two bouquets of white roses. A larger one for Jade, and a smaller one for Scarlett.

“I’ve got to hand it to you, Bro. When you said you wanted the real deal in less than a week, I thought you had lost your damn mind.” Jacob hands over my tux and pulls two black boxes from his pants pockets. “I picked up the rings on my way in. Took a little time to get the dates inscribed, but they’re here.”

Everything is exactly how I planned. “I don’t want her feeling like she missed anything.”

“If she’s missing something, it’s not for lack of trying, man.” Jacob slaps me on the back and leaves me to figure out how to make this monkey suit work.

An hour later, I’m standing at the front of a small chapel with the lights dimmed, waiting for Jade to make her way down the aisle. Jacob is standing next to me, and Scarlett is already at the front with her small bouquet of roses. All that’s left is for Jade to walk down the aisle and join me.

The piano player begins, and Jade steps from the doorway, a vision in white with her hair curled and loose around her face and all of her delicate curves on full display. My mouth waters, and I’m grateful Jacob ordered my pants longer in the crotch because the rock between my legs is growing fast.

She’s everything I envisioned and more. The music can’t play fast enough to get her to me. When she finally steps up onto the altar and takes my hand, I know I’m a dead man, because I’d never be able to breathe again without this girl by my side.

It takes forever for the padre to get to death do us part, and you may kiss the bride, but when he does, my world stops. I pull Jade in close to me and hand her flowers off to Scarlett before I dip her back and kiss her the way a woman should be kissed on her wedding day. Hard, and long, and sincere. A sealed promise today isn’t just about giving our unborn child my name, but about showing this woman how much I love her already.

I opted for the quick and simple ceremony, and in less than ten minutes, we are hitched. Jacob and Scarlett are left to deal with the marriage license, and I’m whisking my new bride off to the hotel in Manhattan for dinner.

The town car I ordered pulls up to the church with chocolate-covered strawberries and sparkling grape juice in the back seat. I pour Jade a glass before we even hit the road.

“You thought of everything,” she says, holding her champagne flute up to mine.

We tap glasses and sip. “That’s because you deserve everything. You and baby Landon.”

She smiles. “That’s right. No more Baby X for you, little guy. You have a name now.”

“Speaking of names,” I laugh. “Shouldn’t we be thinking of a few for each sex just to be ready.”

Jade shifts her body, so she’s snuggled into my side. I lay my head on the top of her head, marveling at the perfect way we fit together. “I already have them picked out.”

“Oh,” I’m taken aback. I know I’ve only known about this kid for a week, and no matter what, they will have my last name. I want in on every aspect of bringing this baby into the world, including the naming.

“If it’s a girl, my middle name is Elizebeth, so I was thinking Izzy for short.”

“And a boy,” I ask, holding my breath without meaning too.

“Rafe Alexander has a nice ring to it.”

Jade snuggles deeper into my side, and I kiss the top of her head. “Seems I’m not the only one with a knack for snooping around.”

“I snuck a peek at your driver’s license when you had it out for the marriage license. Rafe Alexander Landon is a strong name. Just like his father.”

I’m falling so hard for this woman I don’t even realize when we reach the hotel, and the driver opens our door. Checking in about kills me. I want Jade naked and in my arms, and I want it now, even if we have to leave the bags in the lobby and come back from them later.

I’ve held off on this for a week. I’ve watched Jade sleep and eat and try on clothes, all with a cock so tight it could rip my pants, and I’ve kept my hands off, but I’ve reached my limit.

We check-in, and when asked if we’d like to wait on the bellboy, I haul all of our things up in my two hands and groan a no in answer.

I’ve waited long enough. I can’t waste another second before I have my Princess in my arms again.

As we reach the door to our hotel room, Rafe drops everything in the hallway and calls for me to stop. He wraps one arm under my legs, and before I know it I’m in his arms and against his chest.

“We’re doing this the right way,” he says with the key card in his mouth. He’s so cute when he acts like this. Like he’s about to burst and is in a rush to do something about it.
