Zack growled and let her go.
She marched up to Jake and yelled over the music, “Put him down now.”
Jake turned his best glare at her, the one that had die-hard criminals shaking in their boots.
She narrowed her eyes and gave a ‘do as I tell you glare’. “If you don’t put him down now, we’re through, and I will go and kiss as many guys as I want.”
Snarling, Jake let the guy drop. Then he grabbed Sandy around the waist and threw her over his shoulder.
David held his badge out to anyone who dared to interfere as Sandy screamed, kicked, and pounded on his back. He didn’t need to look behind him to know Zack followed.
Feeling better with each step he took away from the concert and the fuckwit who though he could touch what was his and Zacks, Jake laughed when they reached the gates to leave, and Sandy screamed.
“If you make me leave this concert, I will cut off your balls and feed them to you while you sleep. If you take one step farther, I will skin you alive. I always did want a bear throw rug to walk over.”
He ignored her and walked out the gates, pausing to growl to Zack, “Where did you park?
“Over the road at the house. I was going to stay tonight.”
“Good.” He turned to his work partner. “David, I’m done for the night.” David smirked and walked to the car they came in.
Sandy squealed the whole time and in between yelled, “Corrupt cops. Save me.”
He smacked her bottom, and she let out a surprised gasp. “Do you want to tell me why that guy had his hands on you?”
“No, not particularly,” Sandy huffed out as he slowly moved her down his body.
“Okay, let’s try again. Tell me why that man had his hands on you.”
He and Zack moved her between them as they reached the road, each holding one of her arms.
Sandy looked around her before letting out a loud sigh. “Fine, but don’t get angry because I’ve had this concert organized since way before I met you two.” She shook her head. “To get my tickets, I promised I would finally agree to go on a date with the boss’s brother.”
Jake couldn’t help the snarl that escaped. And he saw Zack was having the same problem keeping his bear in check.
Sandy glanced cautiously at both of them. “Um, I did tell him I was in a relationship.”
He snarled and fought his bear to not take over.
“Stop that. We’ve only been together for two weeks, a very long two wee…” She trailed off as they come to the three-story manor house. “Holy crap.”
“Our family owns most of the vineyards around here. This is mine,” Jake said as he opened the massive oak doors.
Sandy walked into the white marble hall. Her eyes were wide as she looked at the two spiral staircases that led to the upper levels. “Wow. I thought you were out of my league before, but this just confirms it.” Sandy spun in a circle and then gazed longingly at the door. “I really should go. I’m so angry with you two right know.”
Jake watched as Zack pulled Sandy to him. “I was going to bring you here and surprise you at the end of the concert. I wanted to have a special night with just you and me. Jake was going to have tomorrow night with you.”
Jake came up behind her and whispered, “We were trying to take it slow, and woo you, but…” Jake spun her to face him. “After what you did tonight, I think we need to show you who you belong to.”
He picked her up and wrapped her legs around him. He nodded to Zack, who ran up the stairs before him.
She stared up at him. “I don’t belong to anyone.”
He leaned down as he walked up the steps and nipped her neck. “Oh, Little Red, I promise by the time we’ve finished with you, that’s not what you will be screaming.”
He walked into the large bedroom with a huge custom-made bed and placed her in the middle. “Clothes off now, unless you want them in shreds.”
Sandy must have seen how deadly serious he was because she slipped out of her clothes really fast. He growled when he saw her matching black lace underwear.
