There was a gasp from Cassie and Scott’s eyeswidened, but Jade’s reaction had Derick doubling over with laugher.Jade shoved on my arms and turned to me her big brown eyes flaringwith anger. She was so cute.
“You’re crazy. I don’t know who the hell youare but I know one thing. I am not nor will I ever be yourwoman.”
I didn’t even think about what to do next, Ijust picked my woman up and threw her over my shoulder. Shescreamed but I patted her arse. “Shush now, little bit.” Shescreeched and I looked over to my brother. “Tell coach I havefamily shit to deal with. I’ll see you tomorrow.”
Jade screamed and yelled for help all the wayto the car where I put her down. Crap. I didn’t have the keys.“Stay.”
“Oh. My. God. You did not just tell me tostay like I’m some dog. I have no idea who you are… You have noright to treat me like this. And why the hell aren’t my friendshelping me?” Jade threw her hands up in the air.
“You’re cute all worked up like this.”
“Uh-huh, and you’re crazy. Who are you?”
I knew I should have introduced myselfearlier today. Hell, I should have done it a couple of minutes ago,but anytime I was in Jade’s presence, I went all caveman. It wasthe curse. She was my one. My soul mate. Taking a deep breath tocalm myself, I slowly let it out. “Hi, Jade. I’m StephanSilverman.”
“You can’t be. Derick told me he was atwin…”
Chuckling, I smiled at her.
Jade backed up muttering, “Damn, those arelethal.”
I smirked because I now knew my girl liked mydimples.
“Derick and I are twins, just not identical.”I needed to go back and get the car keys from my brother. “Will youstay here while I go get the car keys?”
“No. I don’t know you. I’m not going anywherewith you. I don’t care if you’re Stephan Silverman, you could beSanta for all I care, I still wouldn’t go with you.” She pushed onmy chest and stomped back to the oval.
I couldn’t help my grin as I followed her, watching her arse in the tight jeans. My girl was feisty. I likedthat.

Jade
I was fuming mad. I now knew wanker wasDerick’s twin brother, Stephan, and he was a controlling bossyarsehole. How dare he think he could tell me what to do? How darehe pick me up and manhandle me. I ignored the heat flowing throughmy body from his touch and told myself I must be coming down withsomething. I walked over to my traitorous new friend, Cassie, whosat on the bench grinning like a loon. Before I could reach her, Ifelt Stephan’s arms circle my waist and bring me against him.
Squirming, I turned and gazed up at him.“Will you let me go? I didn’t give you permission to touch me.”
“I don’t need permission. You’re mine.”
“Argh,” I growled. “How many times do I haveto tell you? I don’t know you and I don’t belong to you.”
His blue eyes seemed to darken as theynarrowed on me and I took a couple of steps back. He followed myretreat, stopping me. He tilted my head and leaned down. “I think Ineed to show you you’re mine.”
Before I could reply his lips brushed mineand his hands moved up to grip my hair. Tingles shot from my lipsto my stomach where butterflies danced. His mouth opened and histongue came out to trace the seam of my lips.
“Open,” he whispered.
When I didn’t open fast enough he tugged onmy hair causing me to gasp. Stephan’s tongue slid in and foundmine, and they tangled and danced together. He took my breath awayand more. By the time he pulled away, my body was hot and aching.I’d never felt like this before, and I wasn’t sure I liked it.
Panting for breath I stared up at a grinningStephan, his dimples were showing and I gave an involuntary sigh. Those things were dangerous. I needed to get away from him. Ineeded time to think, to gather myself. “Please. Go play. I’ll sitwith Cassie.” His grin disappeared and he stared at me like he wasdebating if he did go play would I run. “Please, I promise I willstay with Cassie.”
“Okay. After practice you’re coming back tomy place though.”
I didn’t say anything, just turned andhurried over to where my friend stared at me still grinning like anidiot. “Thanks for helping me, bitch.”
Cassie laughed. “From my point of view youdidn’t need any help. If a Silverman did to me what Stephan did toyou, I would have gladly followed, no questions asked.”
I glared at Cassie. “I hate you.”
