“You going to stand there all day or joinme?”

Shooting my gaze up to his face, I felt myface heat. Slowly I eased into the shower shutting the glassscreen. “Why?” What had changed? He hadn’t done anything like thisbefore.

Stephan gathered me to him and the hotrefreshing spray hit me. “Why what?”

“You know. You never showered with me beforenow. Why now?”

“I’m upping my game.” He reached for mylavender scrub and poured some on my lather sponge. “I missed youso much. I never want to be without you again. I didn’t realize howmuch I needed you until you weren’t here.” He rubbed the spongeover my body paying special attention to my breasts.

“I thought you were going to give me time andwait until I was ready?”

“I’ll give you time. If I do anything youdon’t like or want, just tell me and I promise I’ll stop. I wantyou, Jade. I want you more than my next breath, but I know thatyou’re not ready for sex. I want you to get used to my touch. Iwant to know what you like and don’t. I want you happy.”

Biting my bottom lip, I nodded. He reallymade it hard for me not to fall for him. I didn’t want to forgivehim for leaving me like he did, but when he said things like hejust did and then he friggin' tattooed my name on him, I found thewall around my heart not only slipping, but smashing into a milliontiny pieces, never to be erected again.

Chapter Thirteen

Jade

Stephan got out of the shower before me and Iwas grateful because I needed a moment to gather myself. He’dwashed my hair and I was thankful for the running water because Icried. I had trouble with the cast washing my hair and it didn’tfeel like it was done properly, but with Stephan it was donethoroughly how I liked it and I felt fresh.

I heard him at the sink and he opened thescreen again to wet his toothbrush then he shut it. Sighing, Iturned the water off and heard the sink tap turn on. I knew hewouldn’t have turned it on unless I turned the shower off. Ringingmy hair out, I opened the door and stepped out of the shower.Stephan wrapped a towel around me and kissed my forehead then leftthe bathroom. I went to the sink, brushed my teeth, and put mymoisturizer on my body before leaving the bathroom to go down to myroom to get some clothes.

As I left the bathroom I stepped on somethingsquishy. I looked down to see red rose petals on the floor making apath to the bed were a bunch on perfectly wrapped presents sat ontop of the now made bed. Gazing around the room for Stephan, Ifrowned when I didn’t see him.

“Stephan. Stephan, where are you.”

He peeked out of the walk-in-wardrobe. “Youcalled.”

Ignoring the presents, I ran to him and threwmyself at him. I plastered myself against him and feathered himwith kisses. No one had ever done anything like this for me. “How?When?”

“Before I woke you I messaged my mum and shehelped.”

“Oh God, your mum knew I was in the showerwith you…naked”

The wanker laughed. “Little bit, mum knows wesleep together, so she knows you’ve seen me naked and I you. We areboth old enough, she knows the drill.”

I was still horrified, thinking something andseeing it was totally different. “Still…”

“Jade, don’t worry about it. Go open yourpresents.”

“I have to get dressed first.”

He raised his eyebrow. “I didn’t know youneeded clothes to unwrap presents.” He held me against him as hewalked back over to the bed filled with presents. That was when Isaw it, on the pillow was a black dry cleaning bag.

“Open the bag, Jade.” He gently placed me onthe soft petals and I leaned down and undid the dry cleaning bagrevealing a shimmering sky blue formal dress. Carefully I slid thedress out of the bag and turned around to see Stephan missingagain.

“Stephan.”

Stephan appeared with white underwear.“Here.” He handed me the underwear.

I raised my eyebrow. “You even broughtunderwear.”

“Oh yeah, it was the funniest thing to shopfor. I bought quite a bit I can’t wait to see you in.”

I rolled my eyes. “Uh-huh I just bet youcan’t.” Putting on the panties and strapless bra, I couldn’t waitto get back to the dress. Stepping in to it, I asked, “Can you dome up?”

“Sure.”
