Epilogue 1
KYLIE SHOULDN’T HAVE WORRIED ABOUT meeting Markus’ parents, they were beyond amazing. Kylie fell instantly in love with Anastasia and Theo. They both insisted that she call them mama and papa, no matter how much Kylie protested and tried to call them by their surname, they corrected her until she gave in and called them what they wanted her to.
Gaelan, didn’t take to being fired very well, and fought it with lawyers and legal bullshit. But when Markus started making it known the trouble he was having with him, other clients of Gaelan started backing Markus and when Gaelan was faced with losing more business, he and Markus came to a compromise and parted ways.
Markus’ new manager Anthony, was working out a lot better so far and was respectful to her. He even agreed to help her out with her artwork, since, with the spotlight now on her, Kylie’s work had become a major hit and was selling at triple the price it had before she was with Markus.
Bettina quickly became one of Kylie’s best friends. She fell in love with Bettina though when she fixed the rift with James, and gave her best friend what he needed. Kylie knew Bettina was the reason why James now walked her down the aisle with a huge smile on his face.
Staring ahead of her, Kylie locked onto the most handsome face she’d ever seen, with blue eyes that captured her every time she caught them and gripped James’ arm tighter as she resisted the urge to run to Markus. Kylie didn’t look at the beautiful olive farm surrounding her, or the space that now held the small wedding ceremony and aisle she walked down. She didn’t smile at her close friends or Markus’ family. She didn’t look at the stunning flowers that hung draped from the trees and along the chairs and over arches. Kylie had eyes only for the man she was about to marry.
The wedding had taken longer than a month to put together, an extra month, but once she saw the beauty of the farm Markus had grown up on, Kylie knew she didn’t want to get married anywhere else. With the help of all Markus’ family including his many aunts, uncles, and cousins, the wedding got organized quickly and everything was high quality and made with love.
Reaching the end of the aisle, James handed Kylie to a grinning Markus’ whose dimples were out in full force and had her sighing in contentment at just the sight. He brought her hand up and kissed the knuckles before turning her to the minister, who was a second cousin.
Kylie barely heard the words the minster said, she couldn’t take her eyes from the man she loved. If someone had told her a year ago she would meet the love of her life and be pregnant and be marrying the man she would have laughed in their face, but as she stared lovingly at Markus, she knew that life didn’t get any better and that she was the luckiest person in the world with an amazing new family and the best friends anyone could ask for.
When the minister asked if she would take Markus as husband, to love and to hold until death do they part, Kylie didn’t even hesitate when she practically yelled her yes.
The kiss Markus gave her as they were announced man and wife wasn’t one usually done before family and friends, but as his hands slipped around to cup her arse she didn’t care one little bit.
