She considers this and finally nods. “All right. I’m impressed so far. Keep it that way.”
“Not worried. I’ll do whatever it takes.”
With that out of the way, I open the door and yank my vomit-scented shirt off on the path to the shower.
Sooner or later, my girl will get bored with her computer games tonight.
Then she’ll come to me. And we’ll playrealgames in bed until we tire ourselves out.

SABRINA
There’s something wrong with my brain. All the parts that functioned have been replaced with dreamy mush, eclipsing every shred of concentration.
Here I am, sitting at the kitchen table and staring blankly at my open laptop, unable to scrounge up any interest in playing a single round of Zombie Feuds.
My fading attention span might be the result of soul shattering orgasms with a real live man. Though I still hold sentimental affection for my silicone playthings, no dildo can compete with Monte’s tongue. Or his hands. And I’m completely obsessed with his dick.
It’s true that we haven’t really had sex yet. It’s also true that we’ve explored a variety of other creative ways to get each other off.
But I want more. I want to see his face when he comes. I want to feel him inside me.
More than anything, I want to get over the last of my nervous mental hurdles, switch the lights on and beg him to fuck me for real.
With all this running through my mind, there’s no mystery why I cannot focus on eliminating twitchy zombies onscreen.
A flash of bright blue on the other side of the kitchen window catches my eye. My heart skips at the sight of Monte’s car pulling up to the curb.
An hour ago, he left to visit Bright Hearts Ranch. Luca had some paperwork for his brother to look at and Monte offered to run it over there. Apparently, Cale Connelly is quite the local real estate titan. He owns a lot of property already and now he’s buying a piece of land at the edge of town to stop it from being acquired by condo developers.
Monte climbs out of the Impala and stops midway up the front walk to take a long look at the sky. There’s a light rain falling and I could swear he’s daring the weather itself as he stands there getting soaked.
A solid minute passes before he’s had enough and proceeds to the house. He shakes the water out of his short black hair along the way. His dark grey t-shirt sticks to his muscles. He’s indescribably handsome.
And he’s mine!
Seriously, if I was some other girl, I’d be extremely jealous of me these days.
The door is unlocked and Monte walks right in. He breaks into an instant smile at the sight of me sitting in a chair at the kitchen table and swinging my bare feet.
“Hey, cupcake.”
I quit swinging my short legs. My stomach turns three cartwheels. “You’re back.”
Stunning. What a brilliant declaration of the obvious.
Monte pulls his wet shirt off and rubs his damp hair with it. “Where is everyone?”
My eyes are fastened to the sight of his bare chest. I hope there’s no projectile drool dripping from my chin as I gather my wits and clear my throat.
“Janie had a doctor’s appointment. My mother wanted to go with them since she’s leaving the day after tomorrow. Vittorio is sending his plane for her. My horrid aunt is faking another gout attack and keeps begging my mother to return.”
He quits drying his hair with his shirt and throws it over one shoulder. “If I’d known that you were all alone, I would have rushed back sooner to keep you company.”
“They only left ten minutes ago.”
Now I’m staring at his big hands. His fingers curl around the back of a kitchen chair. He’s wearing his wedding ring. He sleeps with it on.
