With a final deep thrust, he buried himself inside her, his release spilling deep as he growled her name against her throat.
They stayed tangled together, their bodies slick with sweat, their chests heaving, neither willing to move just yet.
After a long moment, Christian finally lifted his head. He brushed his thumb over the bruises forming on her skin.
His touch softened, his fingers tracing lazy circles over her flushed skin, as if savoring every mark he had left on her body. His palm smoothed down her side, his touch warm, reverent, before gliding back up to cup her breast.
Ivy let out a soft, breathy sigh as his thumb flicked over her sensitive nipple, still aching from his earlier touch. A shiver ran through her as he rolled it between his fingers, his touch slow, unhurried.
“Christian…” Her voice was a whisper, dazed, exhausted.
He dipped his head, his hot mouth latching onto her breast, his lips wrapping around the swollen peak as he sucked deep.
A weak moan escaped her lips, her body trembling despite her exhaustion.
Christian groaned against her skin, his tongue flicking over the stiff bud before sucking harder, pulling her deeper into his mouth. His other hand massaged her other breast, kneading, teasing, his thumb rubbing slow, hypnotic circles that made her whimper.
He took his time, worshiping her with his mouth, alternating between soft licks and sharp nips, his possessive hunger still simmering beneath the surface.
Even as Ivy’s body melted against him, her muscles giving in to exhaustion, he didn’t stop.
He sucked harder, his teeth scraping lightly before soothing the sting with his tongue, drawing out every last shudder from her spent body.
Minutes passed—long, torturous, blissful minutes—before his grip loosened, his touches becoming lazier, his breathing slowing.
Still holding her close, his mouth never leaving her skin, Christian’s movements grew sluggish, his fingers still rubbing slow, absentminded circles over her other breast as his body finally succumbed, lost in her scent.
His lips stayed latched onto her nipple as he drifted into sleep, his tongue idly flicking against her every so often, as if even in unconsciousness, he refused to let her go. His mouth still lazily suckling her, his fingers tracing over her skin.
Ivy let out a soft, contented sigh, her body curling into his warmth as she fell into darkness with him.
Chapter 35 A Wish
"Ivy! Ivy, stop!" Jack hurried after her as she stepped out of her office, his voice laced with urgency.
Ivy ignored him, her heels clicking against the ground as she walked ahead. But Jack was quick, stepping in front of her and blocking her path. His body was tense, his chest rising and falling with rapid breaths as he tried to catch her attention.
She sighed, annoyance flickering in her eyes as she finally glanced up at him. "Yes?" she asked, her voice flat, the fatigue from her long day settling into her tone.
Jack’s eyes were wild with frustration, his hand coming up to rub the back of his neck as if trying to restrain his temper. "Do you know what Christian is doing?" His words came out sharp, frustration clear in his voice, his usually calm demeanor cracking.
Ivy’s brow furrowed, the confusion written all over her face. "What are you talking about?"
Jack exhaled sharply, his jaw clenching as his eyes darted to the ground for a moment before looking back at her. "Ivy, can you please stop Christian from forcing me out of this city?" His words were desperate, the helplessness in his voice evident as he stepped closer, invading her space.
Her confusion deepened.
Jack’s expression darkened, his face pinched with frustration. "He’s blocked all my resources. My company is drowning because he’s cut off all my clients. If this continues for a few more days, I’ll go bankrupt!" His voice trembled, a hint of panic breaking through the veneer of his control.
Ivy shook her head, taking a step back at once. "That’s business, Jack. It’s between you and Christian. I have no say in what he does."
Jack’s gaze was intense as he looked at her, his voice lowering, becoming more pleading. "Ivy, come with me. Let’s leave this city. We can start over somewhere else."
Ivy gave him a confused look. "Jack, I already told you—we have nothing to do with each other."
She tried to walk past him, but his voice turned desperate.
"You don’t even like him! Why are you afraid to leave? Is he threatening you? I’m offering you a chance to escape. Leave with me!"
