I almost moan from the slow and deliberate lick ofhis lips. The action arouses me.
“Did you already give away your first kiss?”
I’m unable to fight off the surge of electricityzipping through my veins.
I clear my throat and stick my hair behind myears. “You’re not kissing me.”
“Is that a challenge? I love those. And you didn’tanswer my question.”
“I’ve kissed several guys,” I lie.
A dark shadow curtains his face, and Caleb dipshis head and warns, “Keep lying to me, and I’ll bend you over my lap and spankyour ass until it’s red. In public.”
I cringe. “You wouldn’t.”
That devilish grin makes an appearance. “Want todare me, baby?”
I roll my eyes at him. “Stop calling me baby. Myfirst kiss won’t be with you.”
Liquid heat wrecks my body as Caleb touches myneck suddenly. “I’m going to kiss you, Jordyn. All over.”
“That won’t happen.” I swat his hand away. “I’mdone. Take me back.” I straighten to go down the steps.
Caleb jumps up and grips my arm, tightening hisgrasp when I try to writhe away.
He pulls me into him, this time not leaving anyspace. A shaky breath rushes past my lips as I feel his bulge at my pelvis.
“No one else will get the chance,” he growls, hotbreath triggering tingles between my thighs. “No one. You’re mine.”
“Let me go,” I grate, though I don’t want him to.
Caleb drifts his lips near mine. “You’re alreadygiving in, Dove. Just let it happen. Don’t fight me.”
I’d almost let him kiss me until he mentioned thename. It infuriates me because it’s her that he wants. Not me.
“My name’sJordyn.” I shove him back.
He’s breathing hard, remorse evident in hisfeatures. “Jordyn…”
“Take me back.” I march from the stands, tossingmy trash in the bin at the exit.
If I am Dove, why does it enrage me that Caleb isso fixated with that version of me from the past?
He meets me at his car, and we leave the practicefield.
Arms folded, I look out the window and avoidspeaking to him. That’s until he flies past the turn that leads to our college.“Where are you going? I said to take me back.”
“I saw you eyeing the ice cream shop after we leftSmashburger.”
I huff and sink back against the seat, mad atmyself for feeling excited.
Caleb pulls up at the place minutes later.
Not waiting for him as he wants, I let myself outof the car. He still comes around to hold my hand, refusing to release me untilwe enter the building. Perhaps he’s hoping I’ll have another flashback.
He buys salted caramel in a cup for me andchocolate for himself.
I can’t ever refuse my favorite ice cream, and Ialmost want to smack myself for it.
