“Shit.” I cave and take my phone out, textingCaleb without any hesitation.

Nervous, I bite my bottom lip while fidgeting inthe spot. I jump when the phone buzzes in my hand.

“Did he reply?” Scarlett blurts, sounding asexcited as I feel.

Annoyed that he was playing around with me, I texthim back a short and impactful reply.

But the desire is too strong.

The urge to be near him is like a forcefielddrawing me from miles away.

Arms tightly folded at my stomach, I walk to thestudent parking, shivering when I glimpse Caleb.

My heart flutters, and I’m mad at myself forhaving no control.

Caleb straightens from the car when he sees me andpulls his mouth into a pleased half-smile.

Stopping a few inches from him, I ask in anannoyed tone, “What do you want?”
