“Do it,” she grinds viciously. “If you let melive, I’ll come after you again.”

“But why?” I scoff. “I don’t even know you.”

“You fucking bastard. You murdered her!” Her eyesglisten, but the tears don’t fall. “I won’t stop until you’re dead!”

I clench her throat with my free hand, feeling herquick pulses beneath my thumb. “Tellme who it is youthink I murdered. I’ve killed many. But none were women.”

“Liar!” she seethes. Face taut.

“Incredible,” I remark. “Even with a gun at your head, you show no fear. Something broke you and turned you this way.” Only my brutebrother did such things to women. I narrow my gaze, asking, “Who do you think Iam, Trinity?”

“Trinity was my sister, and you killed her!” Hervoice rings above the music in the club, pulling curious gazes.

“I assure you, woman, it wasn’t me. I would haveremembered.” It’s not the first time someone confused me for my older brother. We have similar features andbuilt. It is why I cut myhair.

“Itwasyou, LucaFattore.”Her voice cracks just a tad. She quickly reclaims her strength. “I’ll killyou!”

The woman chucks forward, ignoring the gun and mygrip on her throat as she attempts to fight me. Perhaps she doesn’t care if shedies. She did try to assassinate me even though my guards are here.

Runihastensover and pulls her arms behind her back, settling her hysterics.

“I am not Luca,” I grunt, aiming the gun at herheaving chest. “He’s dead. You can ask anyone. I’m AlessandroFattore. His younger brother.”

“Lies!” She’s beyond livid and won’t hear me.

“Cristo,” I grumble in irritation, then order,“Tiernan, bring someone.”

He peels off to pluck a man from the dancefloor.

“Chi èlui?” he askshim, waving to me.

The confused fellow looks around at us beforeanswering, “AlessandroFattore.”

Tiernan gestures for him to leave.

“See?” I scoff, staring into her furious eyes.“The man you seek has been dead for over a year.”

She twists her mouth, seeming uncertain of what todo next.

“Let her go,Runi.”

He rumbles before slowly releasing her arms andmoving back a little.

“What is your name?” I ask.

She sniffs. “Go fuck yourself. You’re that monster’sbrother. The same blood flows through your veins. You’re just like him.”

I sigh and lower the gun from her. “If I wereanything like Luca, you’d be dead already.”
