We have enough men to counter theirs, and we havemore on the way.

No one fucks with Martelli and continues to live.

No one.

Entering the side door, Rodrigo shoots the firstguard at the bend and zips around to bring down the other.

We continue along the passage, killing whoeverturns the corner.

“Secure the rest of the house,” I order the menwhile Rodrigo and I run into the living room, spotting a chair in the centerwith ropes at the foot.

Solari.

I’ll rip that bastard to shreds for hurting her.

The gunfire slows out front, and I know it’sbecause my father’s men have taken out most of the guards.

I nudge Rodrigo towards the patio doors.

One is ajar.

We rush outside, gaze zipping around the yard formore guards.

Two men swerve from the trees.

Ducking for cover, we fire back at the same time, nailing them.

“Help me!”Solari’sscreams ring from the woods.

Desperation to save her propels my legs, and I boltthrough the trees with Rodrigo at my back.

“Shut up, bitch!” I hear Luca snarl at her beforeshe yelps.

He fucking hit her.

I’ll murder him.

A boat engine catches my ears, pushing me to runfaster.

I emerge to a rocky shoreline and shoot the twoguards. Rodrigo takes out the third.

Luca grips Solari in front of him, gun at herhead.

“Back or I’ll kill the bitch!” he growls.

Rodrigo stays put by the trees.

I don’t lower my gun.

Solari’ssputtering shocked breaths. I can’t make out her beautiful eyes, but I’m surethey’re wide open.

“Domenico! You’re alive! You found me.” She sobs, seeming beyond relieved.

“I told you, tesoro. Youcan always count on me.”

Luca huffs. “Well, now you can watch her die.”

“You won’t get the shipping yard,” Solari grunts.“You’ll have nothing to reclaim your honor among your family. It’ll all be fornothing.”
