“No.”
“Fuck me. What the hell are you doing?”
“I don’t fucking know! I’ve never wanted a long-term relationship before. I’m fumbling my way through this, trying to go at her pace, but I need to just take the bull by the horns and tell her what’s happening. I’m a motherfucking Dominant, for God’s sake.”
“Yeah, you’re being a pussy right now, just in case you wanted my opinion.”
“Don’t give me shit, Dal. I’m not in the mood. I am not playing around. You were a shell of a man while you were trying to figure things out with Nad, and you guys have known each other your whole lives. Cut me some slack.”
“Fine. Just don’t come in here telling me about my employee’s sexcapades in the future. How the hell am I supposed to look her in the eye when we sit down for our meeting?”
“You’re welcome for fucking up your morning. Honestly, that makes me feel a little better.”
“Glad I could be of service, bro. I’ll see you at the club later.”
“Oh, can I steal Celest at lunch for the rest of the day?”
“Do I even want to know?”
“Considering your reaction to the butt plug information, I’ll say a firm no.”
“Fine, just please, for the love of God, don’t tell me about it after.
“Later, bro.”
As I head out of his office, I chuckle to myself. I hope he’s uncomfortable in that meeting. I was supportive of him and Nad. Everyone thinks I’m the eternal bachelor, void of any real emotion when it comes to women. I don’t know what I am feeling right now, but it’s new to me.
I spy Celest before she clocks me, and the look of shock on her face when I arrive at her desk was worth getting up earlier this morning. Her eyes are wide as saucers, and she starts shuffling papers, looking anywhere but at me.
“Good morning, Ms. Monroe. How are you today?” I’m not going to make her get on her hands and knees. I want her wet for me, not mortified to be seen with me.
“Hello, Master… Mr. Navarro.” Oh, that slip of the tongue is delightful. “Why are you here?”
“I was having morning coffee with my best friend. I think you know him. Mr. Callaghan.”
If looks could kill, I’d be dead right now.
“I’m familiar with him.”
“Is your chair comfortable today?” I’m well aware that my smug grin is not winning her over right now.
“It’s been better.”
“Oh no, I’m sorry to hear that.”
“I bet you are,” she says, every word dripping pure disdain.
“You’ll be rewarded for good behavior. I promise.” I love to see her adjust her position. She’s squirming already.
“You have to leave. I’ll see you at twelve.”
“Are you trying to get rid of me, Ms. Monroe?”
“Yes.” Her candor makes me laugh out loud, drawing some looks from her colleagues.
“You’ll pay for that later.” I lean in, brushing my lips against her ear, “Pet.”
“Go. I’ll deal with it.” She shoves my shoulder, but she can’t hide the flush of her cheeks and her attempt to hide her cute, crooked little self-satisfied smile. She knows she’s driving me wild.
