“See?They’re just partying. It’s nothing,” Cash says, pointing out to the screen. Ghost gives him a look that says bullshit.

We watch as they all run towards the door, and I quickly move to the edge of my seat. “Fuck, what are they up to?” I ask.

Ghost sighs and throws his head back. “I fucking knew it.”

“Can’t you flick to the outside cameras?” I ask.

Ghost shakes his head. “I have them running on a different operating system. Just in case someone tried to cut the feed. Then there should always be one running. For me to access it, I need Cash to log in via his laptop,” Ghost states, looking at Cash.

Cash exhales. “Looks like I’m getting the laptop,” he says as he gets up from the couch.

“I wouldn’t worry. It’s not like they can take out the guys on the door.” Hawk shrugs.

“Dixie could,” Rage mutters.

“Dixie?” Beast presses, likely thinking the same as us. She’s the tiniest out of all of them.

Rage nods. “Yeah, she’s a nurse, remember? She knows exactly what drugs to give someone to knock them out.”

“Shit, he’s got a point,” Spider adds.

“Cash! Hurry the fuck up!” Ghost barks.

“Alright, alright, keep your fucking hair on. I had to hunt it down. Everything is a mess. It’s not like we are back at the club,” Cash says, tutting. He takes a seat, and as he goes to turn the laptop on, he sighs. “Dead battery. Hang on, I will get the charger.” He stands, but as he goes to walk out of the room, there’s a flash on the screen, then the cameras go blank.

Ghost jumps to his feet. “What the fuck was that?” he barks.

“Bomb,” Rage growls, getting to his feet.

We all move to the front door, each of us with our phones in our hands, ringing the ol’ ladies over and over again. No answer.

“Queenie, stay here and watch the kids!” Ghost calls out. We quickly jump on our bikes, fighting the panic I know we all must be feeling. We speed to the clubhouse, but my mind is so consumed with Alina. She better be alive. Fuck, if something’s happened to her, to my unborn kid.

As we ride close to the club, a thick black cloud is visible in the sky. Fuck. My heart races in my chest. I pull down on my throttle, pushing my bike to its limit, each of my brothers doing the same, not giving a fuck. Our only focus is making sure they’re okay. Sweat trickles down my spine as images of Alina lying hurt and lifeless on the ground flicker through my mind. We turn into the parking lot of the club and see huge flames engulfing the building.

I skid to a halt and jump off my bike. “ALINA!” I yell, running toward the club.

“STAR!” Ghost roars.

“BELLE!” Beast bellows.

“JOSIE!” Hawk shouts.

“MAGGIE!” CASH yells, running to the side of the building to look for a way in.

“NOVA!” Spider calls out, his hand gripping his hair in desperation.

“RHEA!” Acid hollers, his voice cracking with emotion.

“ELSIE!” Scar barks. He looks at me, and I see fear swimming in his gaze, mirroring my own.

“Wait, where is Rage?” I ask, looking around. As I say the words, Rage is dragging one of the bodyguards across the parking lot. He dumps his body on the ground and goes back for the other, his clothes and skin covered in black soot. “Rage, don’t!” I yell after him, watching as he seemingly carelessly walks into open flames. He comes out a moment later, dragging the other guy.

Spider quickly checks them over. “Both alive,” he states.

I look at Rage. “How are you so fucking calm?” I ask.

“Because they aren’t here,” he states.
