She doesn’t even look at us. Suddenly, I’m desperate, drooling from my mouth, clutching the bars of our cage as she stands on the platform, unties the ribbon of the robe, and drops it sexily off her shoulder.

“By the Mother,” I gasp. Naughty, naughtyregina.

I’ve never had the chance to see her in lingerie. Lyle and I always just ripped off everything she was wearing and got straight to licking her skin. And of course, tonight, she’s chosen the best possible colour.

A bright blood-red lacy bra cups her beautiful breasts in half-moons. Her tummy has a garter belt leading down to matching garters around both delicious thighs. A teensy, tinymatching thong tells me she’s waxed for us. I’ve always liked her curls of dark hair, but this isnewand will make her more sensitive to me.My clever regina wears a red silk ribbon around her neck, covering her mating mark from us.

Lyle lets out a snarl of pure hunger.

A piece of art. Fuckingart.

“Don’t you dare shift,”I tell her in awe.

That’s when I realise she’s telepathically blocked us out. “That little minx!” I mutter.

Lyle growls angrily in his chest, clearly having tried talking to her as well.

I check on Scythe, only to find him unblinking, unbreathing, and unmoving.

“Uh-oh,” I say with a grin. “Someone’s gone shark on us.”

To my regina, I cup my hands around my mouth and shout, “You’re in fucking trouble, regina!”

She has the audacity to turn away, showing us her back, before looking over her shoulder with an ever-loving, sexy smirk. As she moves, her arm sparkles with gold glitter under the light. But wait, herentirebody is covered in golden sparkles.

I slap my forehead because this is getting out of hand and I’m already as hard as a rocket. I cover my shame with a hand before changing my mind and stroking it, getting myself ready.

The third siren goes off.

Her chuckle is audible across the cruel, cold distance between us and she leaps off her platform, her legs gracefully stretching out in an arc, just like a lioness. She lands, light as a cat, and sprints over the grass, getting swallowed up by the darkness of the forest that blankets the whole field.

I’m not worried about her. Those eagle eyes of hers can probably see the pores of every dark leaf, and her chompy chompy mouth could cut through the trunks of those trees. But she’s still my princess and I want to sweep her off her feet before she gets a splinter and then plunge so deeply into her she cries out my name.

Our steel cage starts rattling and I know it’s Lyle barely able to contain himself. I know he’s truly lost it when the gate starts to squeak open before the final siren even goes off.

I turn my face moonward and howl into the night.

When the sirendoesgo off and the door snaps open, the three of us are like a stampede of bulls during the Spanish races. We sprint over the grass at full speed, our eye focused on only one spot, our spirits feeling out only one anima.

Chapter 81

Aurelia

Running through a dark forest at night, with three of the most powerful predators I know in pursuit of me, is the most thrilling thing I’ve ever experienced.

After all, our entire relationship began with me running away from them.

And now we’re doing it forfun.

There’s a grin on my face as I allow my eagle eyes to take over and guide me through the treachery that is the Hunting Games field. The trees are meant to slow you down and trip you over, with jutting roots, uneven ground, and low-hanging trees. It was made to be difficult for talented predators after all, and at night, the place has become downright spooky.

Lyle, Savage, and Scythe somehow barely make any noise once they enter the forest. I wonder what technique they’ll use. If they’ll split up into three and try to pen me in, or if they’ll take me as a team.

I leap over a fallen branch and land, almost slipping on leaf litter, before getting my feet back under me and weaving through the next lot of trees.

“Leee-uh!” Savage calls fromfartoo close behind me.

With a jolt, I turn abruptly, hoping that my better sight gives me the advantage in the dark. Sure enough, a muttered curse sounds from behind and I grin, adrenaline pumping through my veins, my body heating up against the night’s chill.
