“What makes you think you can just slip into my bed whenever you want?”

He puts his arms behind his head and smiles at me as if I’m the most lovely thing he’s ever seen. There’s a heavy amount of male satisfaction in that gaze. “What makes you think I would wait until morning to see you?” He frowns as his voice becomes accusatory. “And you never texted me.”

“How many hours did I have that phone for, Savage?”

The wolf ignores that as a hungry expression flashes across his face, and slowly, he gets up. I scoot back in response, but he pursues me down the bed like a predator.

“You’re going to have me in your bed every night, regina. You’re going to have my face between your legs every fucking morning.”

Trying to leap out of bed, it takes me a moment to disentangle my limbs from the sheets, and in that moment, Savage lunges for me, flattening me on the mattress. But instead of kissing me like I think he will, he rests his head on my chest, pinning my arms by my sides so I can’t move.

“You’re adorable when you sleep.”

From the side of my eye, I see Henry raise his head from his donut bed on top of my chest of drawers.

All he’ll sense is the heat that’s rising in me from Savage’s hard, naked body pressing against my thin pjs.

I’ve also come to the realisation that, for the first time in weeks, I feel rested. I haven’t been sleeping properly, nor deeply. Something in me clenches at the realisation that Savage is likely responsible for that rest.

“Are you eating properly, regina?” His voice is stern. “Drinking enough water?”

I do need more energy. I need it for everyone’s safety. Perhaps I could just give into the urge to fuck Savage a few times a week?

The school tablet pings loudly and Savage’s head whips around to look at it sitting on my desk next to the balcony doors.

“You have a postal notification?” He frowns deeply. “Who’s sending you things that’s not me?”

I hastily push at his chest and he rears back so I can get off the bed and see what it says. “Not someone. I’m just shopping. And how can you read that, anyway?”

“It has a box emoji next to it. Regina, if you need things, you come to me.”

I scan the notification and find that myEggplant Emporiumshipment has arrived. “I can buy my own stuff.”

“You should also know Scythe knows everything that comes in and out of this school. So does Lyle.”

I stiffen at the low meaning in his voice. Do they know what I bought with this shipment? I even arranged for express delivery via courier. That’s how desperate I am to deal with my… situation.

“What?” I say in disbelief.

He nods. “Yeah. Why, what did you buy?” He tries to peer at the tablet.

How embarrassing. Fuck. Them.

“You need to go, Savage.”

“What?”

“You heard me. I need to get ready for the day.”

He gives me a very unimpressed look and drags himself off my bed in the slowest manner possible. I try not to look at the tall, perfect, mouthwatering expanse of his naked body as he straightens to standing.

Savage stalks towards me, eating up the space between us in a few long strides. Dear Goddess, this crazy wolf is supposed to be all mine.

Heat fills his hazel eyes as he holds my gaze, leans down, and with a possessive hand around the back of my neck, crushes his lips to mine. He bites my bottom lip just enough to cause a sting of pain before sweeping his tongue across it in apology.

I gasp in protest, but when he presses his forehead to mine, what he growls next stifles any argument from me.

“Mine.”
