Calvin leaned back, amusement dancing in his eyes. “I’m sure it will, too. But when my doctor meets us at the penthouse, he can verify whether you should seek further attention.”
Ellery’s jaw fell open. “Was that one of the people you just contacted? He actually does home visits? I didn’t think that existed anymore.”
Calvin chuckled. “We got lucky. He’s semi-retired so doesn’t schedule anything most afternoons.”
Ellery stared down at the phone then glanced up again. “Are you sure?”
Calvin crossed his long legs, his grace and ease with himself evident in every move he made. “Absolutely. I want you to feel comfortable with me. As I said, you weren’t the only one who was looking.” He winked.
Ellery gave a shaky nod then sent a text to Reese. Almost immediately, a flurry of excited responses came back. Ellery regarded Calvin. “Sorry. He’s asking a million questions. I’ll tell him I can’t talk right now.”
Calvin gave a one-shouldered shrug. “You can talk with him if you like, Ellery. If that’s what you need, I’m fine with it.”
“I’d rather talk withyouright now.”
Ellery swallowed hard. He wasn’t used to being so blunt with a Dom, but maybe that was because he’d never felt as if his thoughts or opinions would be welcomed. With Calvin, he sensed it was just the opposite.
Calvin’s smile deepened. “I’m glad to hear that.”
Ellery flushed hot again then texted Reese he’d catch up with him later. He handed Calvin’s phone back.
“Thanks. I’ve never had a Dom do that for me before.”
Calvin’s brow creased. “Do you ever play outside a club? Go with a Dom to his home?”
Ellery shook his head. “No. I only go to clubs.”
Calvin gave a sharp nod. “Good. Are the clubs reputable?”
Ellery felt as if he was being interrogated, but at the same time, something about Calvin’s harsh concern filled him with comfort.
“I guess? They’re all popular ones.”
Calvin pressed his lips in a hard line. “Popular doesn’t necessarily meansafe. Can you give me a list so I can tell you which ones are acceptable? Thrust is only one of the two in the city I patronize anymore. Of course, I’m only interested in age play.” Calvin tilted his head as he regarded Ellery intensely. “But I have several friends who are Masters, and they can give me a rundown.”
Ellery swallowed hard. This was it then. He needed to state what it was he wanted, what he was searching for so he could discover whether he and Calvin had a chance at taking the next step.
“That’s okay.” Ellery twisted his fingers. “What I mean is that I don’t really want to keep going to kink clubs and doing regular BDSM scenes with Doms anymore. I was thinking about giving age play a try. I’ve never had a Daddy, but my best friend Reese does, and he thinks I’d get a lot out of being Little.”
“Ah, I wondered. I’ve never seen you at age play night before.” Calvin folded his hands and rested them on his crossed knees. “What do you mean by ‘regular’ BDSM?”
Even Ellery wasn’t sure what he meant. All he knew was that nothing had really taken him to that unnamable place before, to that state of fulfillment and safety he’d always envisioned he’d find through a power exchange relationship.
“I guess it’s that I don’t get off on things like floggings or bondage or those kinds of kinks. I don’thatethem, but…” He let out a sigh. “I see other subs all blissed out after a scene or staring up at their Masters as if the world begins and ends in their eyes, and I want the same thing. Does that make sense?”
“Perfect sense.”
Calvin ran his fingers through his thick salt and pepper waves of hair and Ellery bit back a moan. The attraction to Calvin alone—kink or no kink—was more thrilling than any scene he’d participated in. If he enjoyed age play even a smidgen with this man, he sensed he’d be more satisfied than he’d ever been before.
Calvin met his eyes. “So, what is it you’re hoping to find through age play that’s different than what you’ve experienced in the kink world?”
“Well, my friend Reese—he’s the one I just texted—we’ve known each other a long time and he’s a Little. He started out going to clubs with me, we were kind of in the same stages of exploration, and he found his way.” Ellery gave a small shrug. “I always assumed age play wouldn’t work for me, but the more he talks about it, and I see how he and his Daddy are together…” Ellery lowered his gaze, picking at his slacks. “I get jealous. And sometimes…” He cleared his throat. “Sometimes I fantasize about certain, uh, things.”
Calvin arched his eyebrows. “What sorts of things?”
Ellery stared at his hands. He felt like such a newbie, like a scared virgin or something. Sure, he’d been nervous the first time he’d been alone with a Dom and discussing things like limits and safewords and whatever. But for some reason, confessing to Calvin about theseparticularfantasies was harder.
It wasn’t so much that he thought they were strange or that Calvin made him more uncomfortable than other Doms had—not at all. If anything, it was how badly he wanted Calvin to give him a chance. Ellery had never told one person these private thoughts, yet he wanted to share them with Calvin. He was beginning to believe he must be on the right path after all.
