“You didn’t want an actual stuffed animal?”

“Hell no. Remember the Teddy bear incident? A pillow can always be explained away. Giant stuffed animal sleeping with me? Not so much.”

“Ah, I see. That makes sense.”

Jett arched his eyebrows. “It does? You don’t think…” He rested his chin on Stanley. “I guess you of all people would understand since you’re kink friendly and such.” Jett frowned. “Is this a kink?”

“I think of it more as a comfort, but it doesn’t really matter what it’s called. It’s what works for you. That’s the part I care about.”

Jett considered Silas’ words. Hugging the pillow felt as right as ever, but he still wanted to know how it felt to be held by Silas.

“Okay. I’m hugging Stanley. What next?”

“Here.” Silas opened his legs then patted the spot between them. “You hang on to Stanley, but sit with your back against my chest. I’ll hold you the same way you’re holding him.”

Jett scooted over, Silas lifting up his leg so Jett could get into position. The moment their skin touched, Jett tensed, squishing the pillow against his body. He closed his eyes as the warmth built between them and pondered how this was any different from their skin touching during sex. He never gave that a second thought.

Silas’ arms descended around him and Jett held his breath. The heat of Silas’ breath wafted over his neck as he placed a kiss behind Jett’s ear. He instinctively leaned back and before he knew it, he was lying in Silas’ embrace.

They remained quiet as Silas softly held him, Jett resting his head on Silas’ shoulder with his eyes closed.

This wasn’t scary. This was home.
