With each swipe of his tongue, Gareth delved deeper as if consuming Kit, the kiss unlike anything Kit had known. Was this what a kiss was supposed to be like? A joining of two people as if they were one, a declaration that they belonged together? Kit wondered if he would experience the same feeling if Gareth made love to him.
He hoped he found out soon.
Gareth broke the kiss but held Kit’s head between his palms, his gaze searching Kit’s face for what—Kit didn’t know.
“Will you sleep in my bed with me tonight?”
Kit’s breath hitched. He wanted to ask if it would be their bed from now on, if maybe he would teach him how to suck Gareth off. The hard bulge beneath Kit’s hip made it clear Gareth also needed relief.
“Can I sleep with you every night?”
Well, Gareth had said he could ask anything.
A smile tugged at the corners of Gareth’s mouth. “For as long as you want.”
“Then…” Kit swallowed past a lump in his throat. This was him being impatient, he got that. However, he couldn’t stop himself. “Then as long as we’re together as Daddy and boy, I can stay here? I’ll get a job, I’ll do my part and—”
The awful truth of his reality slammed into his gut. Daddy/boy or not, he might end up in jail.
“Hey, look at me.” Gareth jostled him. “I’m your Daddy now, got it? I won’t let you take the fall for something you didn’t do. We’re going to fight this, and I guarantee you, Ted doesn’t have the resources I have. Not only financially, but he doesn’t have the truth. He’s never been as clever as he thinks he is.” Gareth hugged Kit tightly and pressed a kiss to his temple. “I’ll fight for you, keep my boy safe no matter what.”
Kit threw his arms around Gareth’s neck. He’d never believed in anyone or anything the way he believed in Gareth.
His Daddy.
