Page 66 of Born Daddy

“Yes, Daddy.”

Tate licked his lips, then seemed to fail at his attempt to keep from smiling. Rogan lost the same battle.

“Tease.”

Rogan chuckled and continued fixing their meal by mixing the eggs, heating the pan, and pouring in the mixture and adding seasoning. Tate watched him with interest and Rogan’s thoughts drifted to what Tate used to cook for Cam. Would he have demanded that Tate prepare food a specific way? Would it be only to his liking with no consideration for Tate’s preferences?

He suspected so.

But he wouldn’t ask, at least not now. Not that he’d ever prevent Tate from talking about his time with Cam if that’s what he needed to do. However, he didn’t want to bring the guy up himself in every conversation. Rogan didn’t believe that would help Tate’s emotional and psychological healing.

“I feel weird just sitting here not doing anything.”

Rogan glanced up. “Do you enjoy cooking?”

Maybe Rogan’s idea of how to pamper Tate wasn’t the same as Tate’s. Master Zane had brought up that subject as well, reminding him that the roles within a Daddy/boy relationship were different for everyone.

Tate’s brow creased and after a few moments, he spoke up. “Not especially. I don’t hate it—except for the chopping part.”

Rogan chuckled and flipped the first omelet. “That can be tedious for sure. But in general, is it a chore like any other to you?”

Tate tilted his head then nodded. “Yeah. That’s a good way to put it. I guess because I make everything fresh for the most part, don’t even use a microwave, it does seem like a chore.”

Rogan plated the first omelet then added the other half of the raw egg mixture to the pan. “Then as your Daddy, I’m happy to take on that job for you when I’m home.”

Tate propped up his chin again. “Home. That’s a good word.”

Rogan declined to comment. They hadn’t gotten far enough in their relationship where being together all the time was a given. Rogan flipped the second omelet, a thread of something he couldn’t name coursing through him. Fear? Excitement? Maybe both. Regardless, it needed to wait.

“Daddy?”

That word Rogan was clear on. Excitement all the way.

“What?” He slid the second omelet on a plate.

“Can I wash the dishes after?”

Rogan almost did a double-take. “Uh, sure? Is that something you enjoy?”

“No. I just…” Tate gave a small shrug. “I dunno. Need to feel useful, like a good boy doing his chores. And anyway, all I have to do is rinse them off and load the dishwasher. Plus, your side must still hurt, and this is your day off, so you should rest.”

Rogan added the fruit to their dishes. “You’re a real sweetheart, you know that?”

His remark had the desired effect. Tate broke out in the most adorable of blushes.

“Daddy…”

While Rogan knew Tate was embarrassed, he could also tell how happy the compliment made him. That’s what Tate needed more than omelets. Between being abandoned as a child, neglectful foster families, the inability to form lasting friendships from moving around so often and Cam’s cold, disinterested ways—Tate was starved for affection. Acknowledgement. Being seen instead of ignored as if he didn’t matter.

I can do that.

A clearer picture emerged, and an internal weight lifted from Rogan. Tate was right. He was a natural when it came to caring, protecting, nurturing. If that’s what Tate ached for from a Daddy, then Rogan was the man for the job.

“Here.” Rogan handed Tate one of the omelets. “Let’s eat.”

After they’d settled at the kitchen table and started digging in, Rogan had mentally checked off the one aspect of being a Daddy. Now for the next part: the kinky stuff. Even if they weren’t exploring a physical relationship yet, Tate had mentioned a few things he’d done with Cam and other Daddies.

Rogan tried—and failed—at fighting an erection as he ticked off the activities in his mind Master Zane had suggested. Of course, there were the spankings that Tate had already made clear he needed. But there were also other things Rogan had never considered. Cock cages and orgasm denial. Butt plugs that would hold Rogan’s cum inside Tate. Edging Tate as a way of demonstrating to him that he was worth Rogan’s time and effort. So many, wondrous, kinky ways of giving Tate his full attention.
