“Everything I told you about the night I met Everett is true. I’d been interested in learning more about the BDSM scene for a while. I’d gone out with a guy for a few months who’d dabbled, and he’d spank me, tie me up in bed—very basic practices.”
Seth swallowed hard and tried not to scooch away from Malcolm again. However, his dick was firming up at the same time, so he wasn’t really sure what was going on.
“One of the main things my experience with that guy taught me was that submitting to another man did nothing for me. I wanted the man to be the one who submitted tome. I explored the idea of becoming a Dom, was being mentored by a very skilled Master through that same club, but a lot of what I learned didn’t trip my trigger. Some, yeah. Most of it, nope. This is how I discovered that BDSM is not a one-size fits all practice.”
“What are the things about it that you do like?” Seth was dying to know if what Malcolm wanted from a lover was something that he’d be able to do.
“This is where Everett comes in.”
A wistful smile crossed Malcolm’s lips, but Seth wasn’t jealous. Being with Everett had made Malcolm happy. He only hoped that he’d be able to do the same thing for him.
“As I said, he was older than me. When we met, he was in his early thirties and was very clear at that point about what he needed. He didn’t need to be flogged or paddled or tied to a cross. Pain play and impact play were a huge turn-off for him the same as they are for me. We didn’t care that much for bondage either, other than the occasional use of a scarf or necktie on his wrists. What gave us the most fulfillment was the power exchange.”
Something connected in Seth’s head. “Oh! You mean the control. Because he wanted you to be in charge all the time and that’s the part you like.”I could do that. I wanted to anyway. “So, that’s a BDSM thing?”
“Power exchange, yes. But as with everything else, there are a lot of variations of that dynamic, depending on what partners agree on. What Everett needed, what he taught me, was what it was like to be someone’s boy all the time. He taught me what it meant for me to be his Daddy.”
Right when Seth had been ready to go all in, his heart came to a skidding stop. “That…that doesn’t make sense.” His mind had shorted out.
Good boys get lots of rewards.
Seth shivered, his nerves suddenly awake and on fire.
“Y-you…you were Everett’s Daddy? You took care of him, took care ofeverything?”
“Yes, sweetheart. I was and I did.”
“And that’s something that men, that people, do? It’s okay?”
“Those who wish to live that particular lifestyle, yes. And for many, including me and Everett, it’s more than okay. It’s incredibly satisfying.”
Seth inched closer to Malcolm some more, bringing him back to where he’d been, to where they could breathe each other in. The corners of Malcolm’s lips lifted as if he wanted to smile but was waiting for the right moment. He hooked his leg over Seth’s again.
“Do you have any questions, sweetheart?”
“I have lots, but the main one is—do you want to be my Daddy?”
Malcolm let out a soft sigh as his features brightened, his smile widening as he cupped Seth’s cheek. He stroked his thumb across Seth’s skin.
“I want to be your Daddy more than anything, precious boy. Will you give me the chance to prove I can take care of you? That I can give you all the attention and nurturing you deserve?”
Seth wasn’t sure he could take in enough air to keep from passing out, let alone speak. He nodded against the pillow.
Malcolm brought his hand lower and brushed his thumb over Seth’s lower lip. “Tell me, baby. I need to hear you say it out loud.”
Seth swallowed past the emotion clogging his throat. “Yes, Daddy. I want to be your boy more than anything.”
Before Seth had the chance to blink, Malcolm had gathered him in his arms and was kissing him so thoroughly, he was dizzy with it. He gave himself over to the kiss, to the process of understanding this new dynamic between them that was already beginning.
This. This will be my home. And Malcolm—no, Daddy. Daddy will be my family.
Chapter Twelve
Malcolm cradled his sweet boy in his arms, humbled by how easily Seth had trusted the dynamic that had been growing between them.
He understands.
Deep inside Seth was a need that had always been there yet never been fulfilled. It was doubtful that Seth would’ve ever had that satisfaction, even if he’d gotten away from his old life and found another man.
