“I’ve got it. You probably want to get out of your costume as well.”
“Yes. That I do. I will knock when I am done, or you can knock if you want a tour.”
“Sure.” Zara went to her bags and opened the first. She pulled out a dress and then had to go looking for her underwear. The house was a nice size, Lyric was wonderful, and Emma seemed happy with the location.
She removed the costume and smoothed it out on the bed before going to find the restroom. The shower removed the sweat, and Zara stretched now that her body could move freely. It was amazing. Her brand was humming, and she shivered before she finished up and found a towel on the rack.
The house was lovely, and there was so much space. When Lyric was working in the kitchen, the sound had been echoey, and Zara loved a lot of space in a kitchen.
This place had all the hallmarks of home, and she was pretty sure that when she could see it, she would fall in love with it.
Chapter Seven
“The longer I am here, the more it feels like home,” Zara said to Lyric as they went for a walk after breakfast.
“Yeah, that was the idea when my grandparents built this place. I do tours in the winery and around the vineyard. Everywhere we go is a slow walk. It’s kind of nice.” Lyric chuckled.
“So, you are an Elite omega, right?”
“Apparently.”
“How did you know?”
“Oh, there were some thugs who wanted to vandalize the winery and spray paint some walls. I charged out and stopped the little buggers on the quads and blinded them with a blast of glitter while I waited for the police to show up. They hit the building and a few of the large rocks nearby. There were six of them.”
“What happened?”
“Well, I got back to little cute beta me, and I talked to the officers in my robe and nightie. The nasty young boys got hauled away, and the next day, they had their vision back. They apologized to me, and their quads were impounded. That was it. They paid for the dented wall, and the rocks didn’t have any hard feelings.”
“And what about you?”
“I practiced getting shorter and taller and had plenty of rocks and trees to play with. Axel did the cooking while I got myself under control. I had no idea what was going on, but I knew I had to get a grip on it quickly. When I turned twenty-two, my first heat kicked in, and my life went to hell for a few days.”
“Right. This put an end to that.” She pointed to her face.
“It would do that. How are you feeling about things?”
