I let my cheeks puff out on an exhale.

Obviously nothing is going to happen here, with a bunch of other people in the same room, but if we don’t have sex soon… I might combust.

I start to lie down. But then Sterling starts unbuttoning his flannel.

When I pause, so does he.

I scoot down, then roll onto my side, tucking my hands under the pillow so I can watch.

Sterling shakes his head but gets back to undressing.

The flames from the fireplace shadow his movements, turning the simple act into a stage-worthy strip tease.

I want to cheer him on. But since we’re not alone, I stay quiet.

Naked from the waist up, Sterling shoves his jeans down his legs, and my eyes lower to the front of his boxers.

His very tented boxers.

His jeans drop to the ground, and he steps out of them before folding the denim and setting them on the ground next to the bed.

How he can sleep in practically nothing when it’s still rather chilly in here, I don’t know.

But I sure do appreciate it.

Sterling grips his dick through his boxers, and even in the almost dark, I can see him squeeze his length.

A small sound leaves my throat, and I quickly turn my face into the pillow to muffle it.

And I keep my face in the pillow because it smells like him.

After filling my lungs with the foresty scent of Sterling, I slowly lift my head.

He’s still standing there, watching me.

I sneak a hand out and motion him closer with one finger. He steps forward, leaning in until his face is inches from mine.

“Is this your pillow?” I whisper.

“It’s yours tonight.”

“But what will you use?” My eyes are on his lips.

“Don’t worry about me, Honey.” His words are quiet. Just for me.

I lift my eyes to his. “You can come up here and share it with me.”

His mouth pulls into a full grin.

“What?” I can’t help but smile when he does.

He lifts a hand, brushing his thumb across my cheek. “I was already planning on it.”

My muscles relax. “Good.”

The bed is basically the same as the one in the Laundry Cabin. Maybe a full? Certainly not a queen. And there’s a foot gap between the edge of the bunk at my back and the wall—just enough to make me wonder why they didn’t put it directly against the wall… Unless they left the gap forcold wall reasons. But if we cuddle real close, no one should fall off.

Sterling drags his thumb along my jaw. “Rest your eyes. I’ll climb up when everyone’s asleep.”
