Page 98 of Fear of Intimacy

“I’ll never forget the look on his face when you told him we were together and then wrapped your arms around me and kissed me. Pretty sure he came in his pants then.” Josie laughed.

“Then he asked for a threesome.” I chortled.

Josie sighed a moment later. “Man that feels like a lifetime ago.”

“I know. And now here you are about to be married.”

“We’ve definitely come a long way.” She wasn’t wrong. Our lives have completely changed since then.

Leaving her vanity Josie came to my side, hooking her arm with mine. “Meeting you was the best thing to ever happen to me, Tash.” Her words made my eyes prick.

“You’re the best thing to ever happen to me too, Jo.” We gave each other watery smiles before I cleared my throat. “We are not messing up our makeup.” Pulling apart we wiped under our eyes.

“Ready to go?” I asked a moment later.

“Let's go get our men.”

As soon asthe Uber came to a stop in front of the club, I was up and out within seconds. With Josie at my side, we looked around for familiar faces, my gaze snagging on a small crowd forming up ahead. I instantly knew who was there.

Not wanting to lose each other, Josie and I clasped hands and headed for them. Behind us, I could hear people muttering about cutting in line, but I didn’t pay them any attention. The closer we got, I heard the names Boone,Hall, andYoung being tossed around.Yep, that was them.

Not caring about the people crowding around them, I pushed my way through, elbowing a few people as I went. I heard protests as I tugged Josie behind me before we finally got to the front of the crowd. I briefly registered peoplestanding there with oversized cameras but someone else stole my attention.

My eyes landed on Trevor as he stood in front of me alongside Wyatt, Bryton, and Mila. He spotted me within seconds and took two large steps toward me, wrapping his arms around my waist, tugging me into his chest.

I didn’t waste a second before pressing my lips to his, the tension in my body immediately disappearing as I wrapped my arms around his neck. The two of us sighed like he’d been gone months. After a moment, I pulled back enough to look up at his face.

“Hi.” I grinned.

“Hi.” He mirrored it. God, he was handsome.

“You played amazingly.” I boasted.

“You watched?” The surprise in his eyes had me nodding.

“Of course. I watched in between patients.”

“You’re incredible,” Trevor breathed, staring down at me.

“Of course I am.”

As the others started for the club, I stepped back, grabbing his hand and following after them. The crowd easily parted to let us through, cameras clicking away as Trevor tugged me tight into his side. His hand gripped my hip possessively as if telling everyone around us who I belonged to.

When we got to the club doors the bouncers took one look at our group and let us through. It was moments like these when I was smug about knowing Trevor and the guys. It was better than standing out in the cold, waiting to get in.

The moment we entered, the deafening music slammed into me, the bass pulsing through my body as we navigated through the club toward the booths. Strobe lights flashed above, and the dance floor was a sea of people.

Somehow, we managed to snag an empty booth big enough for all of us right next to the dance floor. Sliding inafter Trevor, I noticed Lydia and Landon walking in our direction.

The whole gang was here.

We were only seated for a second before a waitress appeared with a tray of shots. One of the guys must have flagged someone down. Who was I to complain?

“Cheers to the guys winning their game today.” Mila lifted her shot as we all grabbed one.

“To kicking ass,” Josie echoed. Everyone cheered, clinking glasses together before knocking the shots back.

The alcohol burned going down my throat as I tried not to cough. Fanning my mouth, I watched Trevor swallow his shot, not even flinching.Show off.
