“You shouldn’t have told Grayson about it. Now he feels bad,” he shot back at me.
The moment that confession had left my lips, I had clamped a hand to my mouth, silently wishing they hadn’t heard me. Of course luck wasn’t on my side, and he had. Of course Grayson had no idea that Julie liked him. I had begged him not to tell Julie that I told him that. I knew she wouldn’t be happy with me.
“I didn’t mean to!” I said, throwing my head back against the chair. I didn’t mean for any of that to happen.
“Jenna, it’s fine. I’m only teasing. Grayson feels a little bad for possibly leading Julie on, but it is not your fault.” I only had a moment to look up, but found my body being effortlessly picked up before being put down on a lap. Glancing up, I saw Liam’s face in front of mine, grinning. “Much better.”
I rolled my eyes at him but didn’t argue. Instead, I leaned my head against his chest. I could feel his warmth coming through his clothes into mine. His hard body felt good against mine. It was definitely something I could get used to.
“Before we land, I wanted to tell you that I had a great time in Barbados, Liam. Thank you for taking me there,” I said, tilting my head to look up at him.
“You are welcome. I had a great time too, although I wish we could have stayed in bed most of the time,” he said, smirking at me. I felt myself blush at his insinuation. Maybe it was because Liam was my first, but that night after we slept together, I felt kind of awkward being with him. I kept thinking he would think of me differently, or that he was picturing me naked all the time now. After a little while I forgot about my childish thoughts, but I still couldn’t help but blush if he mentioned us having sex.
“How about we have a nice dinner tonight, and maybe a dip in the pool?” Liam suggested.
“But isn’t it going to be cold in New York?” I questioned.
“I’ll keep you warm.” His blue eyes darkened. “Naked body on naked body helps keep you warm,” he whispered. I blushed even harder and felt a rush of heat wash all the way through my body. My mind went once more to the image of him and I naked, pressed against each other.
“I’ll take that as a yes. I know what you are thinking about, Jenna,” he whispered near my ear. I shivered and bit my bottom lip. No use denying it either.
“I’m up for it.” I looked up at him and tried to say it in a sexy voice, but I bet it just came out like I was croaking, in need of water or something.
“I know a good way to pass the remainder of our flight,” he suggested, wiggling his eyebrows.
“No, they will hear us,” I said, gesturing with my head toward where the pilot was with the door shut.
“Then you better be quiet,” was all Liam said before his lips were at the base of my throat, sucking. He had figured out in Barbados that my weakness was my neck, and knew that if it was touched I would moan. The moment his lips were there, I knew I was a goner. I couldn’t say no anymore. Holding back a moan, I closed my eyes and leaned my head back. I couldn’t say no to Liam.
Four Hours Later…
“So, are you free tomorrow?” I asked into the phone.
“Yeah, I am. But I’ll have to bring Sky,” Candy said.
“That’s okay. I wanted to see her anyways. Should we met up somewhere or should I pick you guys up?”
“How about you pick us up? You have a lot of explaining to do, missy.” I held back a sigh. I knew I did.
“Okay, sounds good. I’ll come by around eleven or so, ’kay?” After she agreed, I hung up and set my phone down. Both Candy and Sophia were going with me to the mall tomorrow. I hadn’t seen them in a long time, and knew they probably had a lot of questions. I also wanted to see if they would come to my wedding, whenever it was actually happening. I wanted at least two people that I really cared about there.
It was now almost five at night, and Liam and I had arrived home about four hours ago. While I was “confirming” my plans for tomorrow, Liam was starting on dinner. He was serious about having a dip in the pool tonight and had even hinted at “doing it” earlier. He was insatiable, I swear.
Heading back to the kitchen, I leaned against the wall and watched Liam move around the room. Something about a man in the kitchen was hot. He moved around with ease, making me jealous. Pushing away from the wall, I got closer to him and noticed his brown hair had something white in it.
“Uh, Liam?” I asked, stopping a few inches away from him.
“Yeah?” He turned to look at me.
“Why is there something white in your hair?” I asked. I went up to my tippy toes and reached up to see what it was. Running fingers through his hair, I brought my hand back down. “It’s…flour?” I questioned.
“Yeah, well, I was thinking I could make dessert as well as dinner and…I’m still on the dessert.”
“What are you making?” I was trying hard not to smile.
“Cookies,” he said almost proudly. Looking down at the counter, I saw he had actually made quite a mess and whatever was in the bowl didn’t look right.
“Need some help?” I offered. I did not want to be rude, but I wouldn’t eat whatever was in the bowl, not in the mood for food poisoning.
