“Well technically it is my family’s, but they don’t use it very often,” Liam answered next to me. With a hand on the small of my back, he gently pushed me forward toward the plane as Mathew and another guy came to collect our luggage.
Going slowly up the steps, I made sure not to slip and fall. If I did, I would have taken Liam out with me, and that would be beyond embarrassing. The whole way up I could feel Liam’s eyes on my ass, making me blush. Of course his eyes are on it. It is in his face. When I made it to the top I inwardly jumped up and down, happy I didn’t fall. My internal celebration was cut short as I took in the plane.
The inside was huge! There were multiple sets of seats at the front of the plane and at the back. In between them was a pretty good-sized couch and a few twirly chairs. A bar sat off to the side, and the bathroom looked to be in the back. Moving further inside, I let my fingers run across the leather seats, knowing it probably cost more than I would ever make in a life time.
“Wow,” the word left my lips as I did a three-sixty, taking in everything.
“First time in a private plane, I take it,” Liam said behind me.
“First time on a plane,” I said, forgetting I didn’t want him to know that.
“Well, don’t worry, we are safe.” I barely heard him as I took a seat randomly in one of the chairs. I wanted to moan at how comfortable it was. I wouldn’t care about flying as long as I was in this chair.
“Hello, Mr. Stanford,” I heard a new voice say. Looking up from my seat, I saw a man wearing a pilot outfit, shaking hands with Liam.
“Hello, Crawford. Thank you for flying us on such short notice,” Liam said.
“No problem, sir. We will be taking off in just a few minutes.” The man, Crawford, looked over at me and sent me a smile before nodding at Liam and turning to head toward the front of the plane. I watched silently as Liam unloosened his tie and took a seat next to me.
“I like your flying attire,” Liam commented. Looking down, I realized I’d forgotten I was dressed in sweats and an old t-shirt and flip-flops.
“Thank you. I bet you are jealous,” I said, grinning at him. He leaned in close to me.
“I think they would look better off.” Instantly my cheeks turned bright red, which made him laugh. Before I had the chance to say something, the plane started up and the pilot’s voice came over the intercom.
“Will everyone put their seatbelts on? We will be taking off in t-minus five minutes. We will land in Barbados in five hours, so get comfortable and I will let you know when you are free to move about the cabin. Thank you.”
Barbados? As in the Caribbean? I looked over at Liam, grinning widely. I had always wanted to go to Barbados and sit on those sandy beaches.
“Surprise.”
