He buries his face in my neck as his movements become a bit erratic, his breathing labored. I hold him tight as I angle my hips, my fist tightening in his hair. “Vah… Vah… Vahru!” I come hard, squeezing him to me as he comes undone, groaning his release against my neck as he presses me into the glass, his cock twitching inside me.
We stay there for a moment, tangled together against the glass, a panting mess as we catch our breath.
“Can I just say it’s so unbelievably sexy when you get like this. I am extremely turned on by uncontrollable animal Vahru.”
He laughs as he pulls back from me, slowly sliding from my body and gently lowering me to my feet. He swiftly ties his pants back into place as I adjust my top, my skirt dropping into place before we head back to our consoles.
I drop into my seat and grab my water, guzzling some down to wet my parched throat. I check the camera feeds again to make sure everyone is safe, but nothing has changed.
“I won’t always be like that, you know. I can control myself, I’m just… I’m adjusting to this, and part of discovering sex is becoming a bit obsessed with the euphoria. You’re also very hard to resist.”
He blushes as he speaks, his voice losing steam as he gets uncomfortable. It’s adorable when he becomes unsure. I, and our relationship, am one of the few things that still baffles him a bit. Everything else he is so sure of. I jump up and slide myself into his lap, looping an arm around his neck.
“You don’t have to be ashamed, honey. I find it sexy, and I know you aren’t just some uncontrollable animal, you’re just horny and newly in love. And I’m absolutely loving it, so feel free to show your attraction anytime, in the bedroom, on the bridge or wherever.”
I wink at him before nuzzling my nose against his, and he laughs, shaking his head as he mumbles, “Of course you are.”
“How much longer until we’re home?” I turn and snatch a piece of fruit off the plate, popping it into my mouth as he types on the console, pulling up the information.
“Just a short 4 hours.”
“Short? If everyone sleeps the rest of the way, we could have another round in front of the window. No one will ever have to know.” I wink at him, and he laughs.
“Now who’s the uncontrollable animal, Warrior Princess?”
“You’re never gonna let that go, are you?” I glare at him, narrowing my eyes. The nickname may be growing on me, but I still don’t like it.
“No way. It suits you.” He kisses my cheek and pops a piece of fruit into his mouth, smiling as he chews.
I want to be mad about that, but I can’t find it in myself to be all that mad. I adore this man, everything about him. I’d be content to sit here in his lap, watching the stars go by as we snack and talk forever.
I shake my head at him and turn to watch out the window, staring into the vast emptiness of space around us. Here and there I’ll see a star in the distance, but nothing like I would see if I was home.
Home. It’s still a bit odd to think of Tumbilion as my home, but it is. We need to figure out how we’re going to get all of these people home to the village. We have to return this ship to Garvon. I just hope that the village welcomes them with open arms, despite the fact that we’re bringing home more than triple the amount of Sautii than we expected.
I lean back into Vahru’s chest, my head resting against his shoulder and neck. He grabs the plate of food, pulling it closer as his other arm wraps protectively around my waist. “Try to get some rest, Princess. I don’t mind being your pillow. You need it. I’ll wake you if I need anything.”
He kisses my temple as my eyes fall closed. The exhaustion I was feeling earlier coming back to hit me like a Mac Truck. All I can manage is a hum as I snuggle into a more comfortable position, my nose against his skin as he holds me close. I sigh as I realize I really am one lucky woman before drifting to sleep to the soft sounds of his chewing.
Chapter 9
Kari
Standing by the control console, I straighten my shoulders as I watch my new home planet come into view. Vahru and Jeff work seamlessly together to bring us in and prepare for landing. Watching the two of them work as if they’ve done it for years makes my heart swell in my chest. I realize more and more all the time that this truly is my family, the people who love me most in the world, and those I love more than anything.
I take a deep breath and continue to watch out the window, forcing my brain to focus back on the task at hand. We still have a lot of new people to deliver to the village. We need to return the ship and find a place for Kurgash’s ship too. They could blow it up for all I care, honestly, but it still needs to be dealt with.
“Captain, how are we going to get all the Sautiitions to the village? Vahru’s vehicle isn’t big enough for a thousand creatures.” Jeff stands, looking at me for an answer.
I stare out the giant window as I think, glad that I was already on this train of thought beforehand. A light bulb pops on in my brain, and I turn to Vahru. “Patch me through to Tonya. I have an idea.”
He jumps up, stepping to his right, to the wall with computers and screens. He types away on a keyboard before a video call comes up, Tonya and Melodia waving on the other side. Vahru steps to my side, letting me stand front and center for the chat. Their singing is a beautiful, harmonious melody.
“Greetings, Captain! We’re almost home!”
“That we are, ladies. Tonya, does that ship have skimmers like this one does?”
There’s a pause as she checks with the ship’s computer. “It does. Four actually. What are you thinking?”
