"It's a good plan. Marc could never accept that I'd be able to live without him." NIsa says from my side.

Does she want to go back to him?

Back to Marc to touch and mold what's mine. She wants to leave me.

A loud thumping echoes in my ears as I stare at Nisa.

My muscles clench and unclench as I think about the possibility. I can't stand it.

"Leave us." I bark at Phoenix.

"Wait a minute, just hear me out." Phoenix puts his hand up, trying to further his case.

"I said get the fuck out!" I yell at him.

He grumbles but turns on his heels to leave Nisa and I in the room by ourselves.

"What?" Nisa whispers.

She's going to sit here and pretend like she doesn't understand what is going on? She going to pretend like I can't see what she's planning.

"Don't fucking what me Nisa. You know exactly what the hell is going on here."

Her face pales but she doesn't back away, instead, she lifts her chin and glares right back at me.

"I don't know what your problem is Leo. And I don't feel like playing mind reader today. If there is something that you need to say to me I'd suggest that you get to the point and tell me yourself."

I snarl at her and thread my fingers in her hair, I pull hard enough that she gasps and latches on to my wrist to keep me from hurting her anymore.

"What!" She hisses at me.

I put my other hand under her chin and tilt her head back further so I could see deep into her eyes.

"You're mine Nisa. I'm not giving you back"

CHAPTER 25

PUSHING FRUSTRATIONS

Nisa

I don't think I've ever seen Leo look like this in my life.

This isn't just about me being obedient or conforming to his rules, there's real fear in his eyes.

He doesn't want me going back to Marc because he thinks something is going to happen to me but what he doesn't realize is even though Marc is crazy and twisted I know him better than most other people. I know what his triggers are and I know for sure that if I show up acting like I've given up he'd believe me.

"Leo, he'll never have me. This isn't me leaving you. This is me helping Chrome Creed get to the end of this." I grab hold of his cut and pull him a little closer.

"We'll find another way."

"Another way? Tell me what way we haven't tried besides simply walking up to Marc and facing him head-on." I tilt my head to the side, waiting for the answer I'm sure will come.

"I've got no problem doing that. You think I'm scared of him? I'm not." Leo snarls at me.

"I know you're not and so does Marc. It's what he's waiting for. You and the guys are going to show up guns locked and loaded and Marc won't even be there. He'll send his minions todeal with you. Lives lost for nothing. Marc doesn't care how he wins he just wants to win." I explain.

Leo turns his head so he's no longer looking at me and I watch him clench and unclench his jaw in frustration.
