"Shut up!" I bark. All this screaming isn't going to do anything besides give me a fucking headache. Once they settle down, I ask, "are you hurt?"

They both shake their head.

I look down at Dove. She is trembling underneath me. "Dove, are you okay?"

She doesn't say a word. She just keeps her eyes shut. I jostle her slightly, "Dove!"

"Talk about rocking my world." She opens her eyes slowly, and I can't help but smile at the joke.

"I'd love to take credit for this one, but I'm not this good." I stand up and pull my pants up quickly. I don't know what the hell just happened, but we're in middle America, where there are no fault lines. We don't have fucking earthquakes. "Get dressed and stay in this room. When I figure out what's going on, I'll send someone in here for you." I tell the three of them before I rush outside.

The second I open the doors, I know my birthday will be one I'll never forget.

People run in a panic in every direction. I hear my brother's barking out orders, and my guests scream in fear.

I make my way to the center of the crowd and stare into the night sky.

One whole wall of my clubhouse is missing. Someone set off a fucking bomb in the middle of my party.

Someone who clearly wants to die.

CHAPTER 3

DIG FOR LIFE

Leo

"Oh god! Help!" A woman screams out as she hobbles away from the area of the explosion. A large cut on her calf is bleeding down her leg.

"Report!" I roar out. I see some of my brothers but not all of them. With over fifteen members plus the three prospects, we're a decent-sized club.

One by one, everyone calls out their road name and stands where I can see them. All but four of them.

"Spike!" I yell for my Vice President. When he doesn't answer, I start pushing my way through the crowd. "Virus!" I call for another patched member that I haven't seen.

"I have Virus! He's here." Lash, my enforcer, calls out. "He needs Doc."

Fuck, there are injuries.

I nod my head and go on calling for my brothers that are missing. "Creek!"

"I'm here!"

I spot him walking through the hole with someone draped over his shoulder in a fireman's carry. He's a bit bloody, butI don't have time to think about it right now. He's breathing. That's all that matters.

The clubhouse is clearing out quickly besides the guests that are hurt, everyone is running away. Rage pools in my gut as I realize, along with guests getting out, the fucker who did this is on his way out as well.

"Saint!" I call out for my chaplain, but I don't hear from him either. I try to look over the people running, but I can barely see in front of my face. "Rumble, Lash, Tella, Creek. Clear them out. Everyone. Now! Top priority." I bark my order before I start pushing the stragglers near me towards the door. We need to lock the clubhouse down. There is a threat, and we need to regroup before we take care of it. My brothers herd the hysterical guests to the doors, and the prospects make sure that there is no one hiding out in any of the rooms or common areas.

Within ten minutes, everyone that's not supposed to be here is gone except the people who can't leave on their own.

I'm going to need the fucking ambulance to come.

"Leo! We got a fucking problem." Rumble calls out, and my eyes dart over to him as he runs to where I am.

"No shit, we have a problem! What the fuck happened? You told me you had everything under control. How did someone blow up my goddamn club?" I scream in his face, I let down my guard for one damn second, and everything goes to shit.

"Leo, you think Iletsomething like this happen? I'm just as pissed as you are." He gets back in my face, anger, and tension radiating off his body. Most people would be scared, but not me. Rumble is a big man, built like a fucking linebacker, with dark hair and enough strength in one punch to make someone rethink every decision they've ever made that put them in his path. Yet, he knows that it will be the last moment of his life if he puts a hand on me. I never have to worry about any of my brothersgoing against me. When they pledge to be part of the Chrome Creed, they vow to stay loyal to me. No matter what.
