“Uh, no,” Salem said.
“Is that what you want?” Roman asked.
“I’m down for that,” Alexei said.
This was going in a far different direction than anticipated.
“The plan was to propose,” Roman said, scratching at his head. “But if you want to all have sex together, I suppose we can pivot.”
Definitely a different direction.
Salem turned to glare at Roman while Alexei choked on a laugh. Tamsyn gasped.
Shit.
Salem hoped she wasn’t upset that this was her proposal. It was meant to be romantic and sweep her off her feet. Instead, it had turned into this . . . calamity.
“Tamsyn, I’m so sorry,” he said.
“Why are you sorry?” she asked. “Are you taking it back?”
“What? No. Of course not.”
“Then I’m getting a proposal and group sex? After a wedding?”
“Um,” he replied, unsure of what his answer should be.
“BDE!” she cried.
Huh?
“Best Day Ever,” Roman informed him.
“Really?” he asked.
“Keep up with the play, man,” Alexei said, whacking his back. “The girl wants sex and to get married.”
“You do?” Salem asked, feeling like he was stuck in a whirlwind.
“Uh-huh. Uh-huh. Oh, please.” She put her hands together in a praying position. “Can I have that?”
“Yes, well, we still have to ask you properly.”
“Oh yes, let’s do it properly.” She sat straight with her hands in her lap. “Please go ahead.”
Roman reached over to place his hand on hers. “Darling girl, you’ve shown me that I’m worth loving. That I can be who I am, I don’t have to fit a mold, and that you’ll love me no matter what.”
“And you can love yourself,” she added.
Roman smiled. “Yes, I can love myself.”
“Just please not in front of us,” Alexei muttered.
Salem elbowed him in the side. “You can talk.”
Tamsyn shot them both a look. “Shh. It’s Roman’s turn to woo me. You can both go next.”
“Bossy bit of goods,” Salem told her with a grin.
