“You’re bleeding!” she cried.
“It’s stopped.” He looked at his knuckles.
“No, down there.” She pointed at the one place a man never wanted to bleed. But that blood wasn’t coming from him.
Ahh. That explained the sore tummy.
His poor girl. Although orgasms were meant to help with period pain.
“Bunny, that’s from you,” he said gently as he took in her horrified face.
“What? No! It can’t be!”
He frowned. Why couldn’t it be? And why was she looking even more concerned? Oh, maybe she’d never had sex on her period. Made sense. A lot of women and men were weird about that.
Not him.
“Bunny, it’s just your period. It’s no big deal. I don’t care about a bit of blood on my cock.”
She shook her head, still looking dazed and in shock. “But I don’t get my period.”
“What do you mean?” he asked.
“I haven’t had it in . . . in at least a year.”
He reared back. “What the fuck? Why not?”
“Uh, I don’t know.”
“You don’t know? Bunny, that’s the sort of thing you’re meant to go to the doctor about.”
She wrapped her arms around herself. Shit. He wasn’t handling this as well as he should be.
“Come here, Bunny.”
“I should clean up and you . . . should I wash the blood off you? I don’t know what I’m supposed to do.”
He wrapped her up in his big arms. “What you do is simple. You let me take care of you.”
Picking her up, he carried her into the bathroom. “I’m guessing you don’t have any supplies?”
Tamsyn blinked at him.
“Don’t worry, I’ll sort it.” Grabbing a towel, he set it down on the counter, then placed her on it.
“I’m going to get blood on the towel!” she cried as she tried to get off.
He put his hand on her thigh. “Stay. Who cares about the towel? We’ll wash it or chuck it. No big deal.”
“Um. Right.”
He sent a text to Salem before turning on the shower. Picking her up, he set her in the shower and washed her thoroughly. Then he washed himself quickly. He noticed the door open, and Salem slipped in to place a basket on the counter. He also picked up the towel and snuck back out.
To his surprise, Tamsyn didn’t notice. She was usually observant, but she seemed to be in a dream.
Grasping hold of her chin, he tilted her head back and kissed her lightly.
“Everything is fine, Bunny. Your period is normal. It’s probably a good thing that it’s come.”
