“The squares are too small,” he grumbled as she giggled.
“Poor Papa. Your feet are too big.”
“They match other things.” He winked at her.
“Papa!” she complained but she was smiling.
“Let’s do another game,” she said. “Let’s see who can stand on one foot the longest.”
“All right.” Seemed easy. And it was. He could stand there all day like this.
Eventually she started to wobble. “Noooo!”
She stood on two feet.
“You lose,” he told her.
“Not fair! You cheated!” She pouted up at him and stomped her foot.
Amusement filled him. Salem would already have her over his lap. Their girl wasn’t a good loser.
“How?”
“By having those tree trunk legs!”
“You knew I had them before you suggested we play.”
“I must have been standing on uneven ground.”
“Come on, time to go inside,” he told her.
She stomped into the house and let him undress her. Then she spun around.
“Last one to the playroom is a rotten egg.”
Oh no, she didn’t!
He thundered after her, plucking her off the third step. She stiffened, then relaxed with a cry as he put her over his shoulder.
“Papa! Nooo! Put me down!”
“I don’t think so. You’re in trouble!”
“You’re so mean!” she cried as they reached the top of the stairs. He gave her ass a heavy whack.
Roman stepped out of his room, giving them a curious look. As he turned into the playroom, she must have seen the other man.
“Rome! Save me!”
What was going on?
Roman had heard all the noise and come out to investigate. He hadn’t expected to see Tamsyn dangling over Alexei’s shoulder.
Although it could be argued that that happened a lot.
Curiosity pulled at him as he followed them to the door of the playroom.
Alexei set her down in the corner.
